"If your daughter wants to be the Statue of Liberty, don't think twice before purchasing this costume! We looked at costumes from $15.99 to $140. I was so worried that this costume wouldn't be high quality because the cost is so incredibly reasonable, but the costume is fantastic!! And the shipping was fantastic, too! The costume arrived very quickly!"

"When the costume arrived I was very disappointed because it looked as if it had been worn before. The front was soiled. I contacted buycostumes.com and they sent me a new costume in time for my daughter's second grade Halloween parade. I am very grateful for the terrific customer servie I received. "This costume looks fantastic on! It's the right color and the style and cut of the gown is perfect, it looks amazing. We painted my 7 year old daughter's face green and bought the matching torch. She looked super cute and age appropiate, so much better than other 7 year olds wearing vampire bride and similarly overly dramatic costumes. With this Lady Liberty costume, she won a costume contest for the first time. She was so excited!
The only negative is that the headpiece elastic that holds it in place broke about halfway thru the night, and it did not fit perfectly to begin with, seemed big for a child with a small head. But we fixed it the best we could and kept going. My daughter had fun and got many compliments. I'm glad we got it."

Title: Cute and fun, but lacks quality Date: November 19, 2009
"I love this costume. It was comfy and was easy to put on and take off. I just wish the quality was a little better. It had a dark spot/stain that would not come off when I tried to wash it out, like grease, and then along the bottom hem it was not finished edge and you could see the fabic arrow markers where it was cut from the pattern, so it looked like there were little fabric "teeth" every 10 inches...when I snipped them, they ended up running the fabric like pantyhose. Very disappointing. The headpiece was very nice and we had no issue with it. I would have exchanged it, but we did not have time to return the original and wait for a replacement."

"The Little Miss Liberty Costume was a great deal! The price was very good and it fit wonderfully. It was comfortable and easy to get in and out of for a school play. The costume arrived exactly as expected and was very quick. The color of the costume is a light teal and is very pretty. I looked around for this costume at nearby party places and they stated they didn't even carry it during Halloween. My daughter stood tall and proud as Miss Liberty as flags waved in the program. This costume is excellent to show our patriotism for the United States of America! The headband was adorable and made of Latex. It made a perfect accessory. I bought the latex torch and it made the outfit perfect!"

"I ordered this costume for my 8 year old daughter for Halloween and she loved it! It was very original and several people commented on never seeing a Statue of Liberty costume before. She said it was very comfortable. I think the material could have been a little thicker, but that's ok. Overall a good purchase."

"Gracie loved this costume! For her face, we bought silver and green face paints and blended them. For her hair, we pulled the back into a bun and then curled the sides with a 1/4" curling iron. Then we sparyed sliver glitter spray in her hair. My sister-in-law is borrowing parts of the costume for a Patriotic Day at work too!"

"This costume was very pretty and good quality. The material hung very nicely on my neice. The crown was a rubber crown, not the cheap foam a lot of other Miss Liberty costumes have. The color was a pretty light-teal that closely resembles the color of the Statue of Liberty. Definitely a great buy!"

"The negative out of the way first...below average quality - my daughter wore it once in the house and ripped it before halloween, but nothing a safety pin or two wouldn't fix. that's it! that's the negative.

The positive? Great price, great look, and such a big hit! Everyone oohed and aahed over Miss Liberty. The headpiece was made of rubber, not the typical ugly foam you see on other costumes, and the torch sold separately really finished the outfit. Way too cute. Totally worth the money."
