"This was a great costume. The kids got a good laugh out of me wearing it.
I am quite a small person, and it fit me great. Was very warm too for walking around outside. The hat needed to be stuffed though to keep it standing upright."

"The "one size fits all" tag is not really correct with this costume. It just fit my husband, although he had to wear a black t-shirt and shorts under it because it didn't close completely in the back and it is made of very thin material. It still looked great. Really fun costume! Everyone at the party loved it!"

"The costume arrived in a short amount of time, which was great, but I was disappointed when I opened the box. The costume is made of extremely cheap, thin material and the seam in the leg split open the first time trying it on. The costume was too small for a 'one size' fits all rating, and i found this to be very upsetting. Body measurements are approximately, 220pounds, 5'11", and a waist of about 32-34 inches. The costume was too short in the legs, arms, middle and didn't have enough room in the body itself to fit around his chest and tie up in the back. I figured the costume would be much better fitting, seeing as it said it fiit up to size 44. We will continue to look for another costume as we are returning this one, and although I am sure other costumes are great, this one was not, in my opinion."

"This is a great costume at a reasonable price. It fits well and has a strikingly bold, cartoonish look. Here are some pointers: 1. A very thin shirt-cardboard, like the one in this costume package, will keep the top-hat from flopping over. 2. A couple of stiches, or safety pins will keep the ends of the bow tie in place. Otherwise they will hang straight down. 3. You might have to clip the tail a little shorter to avoid stepping on it. 4. White gloves really complete the outfit -- I was surprised. Happy Halloween!"

"Purchase this costume, the mask and the mitts and you will be ready for any "Read Across America" celebration!!! Our group used these products - and Thing One and Thing Two to add to our float for a local parade and all of our crew was a huge hit! For anyone else that wants free resources to use with these products - check out the NEA web site!!!! It's a great way to use these items for educational purposes. As a group our local NEA group is acquiring multiple costumes to make sure we are always ready for the next opportunity to promote READING!!!"

"My whole family dressed up for Halloween as characters from The Cat in the Hat. My 4 year old daughter was Thing 1 and my 2 year old son was Thing 2. Their dad was The Cat in the Hat and I went as the mommy from the movie. We were a huge hit. All the costumes fit perfectly. Even the adult costumes which were one size fits most looked great and fit well. The only complaint that I have with the Cat in the Hat costume is that the hat flops badly. This can easily be fixed with two coats of heavy starch while the hat is over an object that will keep it upright. I also recommend spending the extra money to buy the matching cat gloves. This costume is especially fun if you have two children to play the "Things"."
