Title: Good Costume - with some adjustments

"I bought the plus size as I am a size 12 on bottom but 16 on top. Even though it fit me across the bust, it was too big in the shoulders, the top of the dress was VERY skinny and made me look even bustier than I already am. The waist was high as well resting right under the bust line. I ended up cutting out the white part and a friend tacked in a v neck work shirt which was much more flattering. I am 5'2, so the skirt hitting right above the knee was the perfect length for me. Once I made the adjustment the costume was GREAT and I had a great night wearing it and got lots of compliments!"

"Item was a bit snug & sat alittle high. Just under my bust, but i'm a size 16 type of gal w/ 36D chest & Finding costumes to fit right in the chest area is a bit difficult. I felt the price was really reasonable.Just runs small."

Title: Made for a Munchkin?

"I received the costume and the attached under lacing was torn and is made of a very scratchy material. I ripped it out and am using my own petticoat since it's to late to return this costume. The length is fine and I'm 5ft 4 in and a sz 16. However the top must have been made for one of the muchkins instead of Dorothy, or for someone with a short torso. It comes right under my bosom. I'm disappointed since all the other costumes I've purchased from Buycostumes.com have all been great."

Title: Remember to Size Up

"I just received my Dorothy costume. I usually wear a med/large - depending on what the clothing item is. I know that costumes tend to run small so I ordered XL. It fits a bit big as expected. I figure I can get it fitted (or do it myself)
The waist is a bit high. Doesn't sit right on my waist so it makes me look even "bigger"
The material is cotton and there is a petticoat underneat that makes the outfit puff out a bit. The colors are good.
The dress comes to just above my knees and I'm 5'4".
Overall it does look good and I know I'll be comfy wearing it at the party."

"Besides being the correct color, this costume was nothing like the picture. It was too short (above the knee). The waist was too high. The top part of the apron was also way too narrow. And it was NOT plus sized-just extra large. It also said on the package that it was supposed to come with hair ribbons/bows and it only came with one that didn't look like the picture either."

"For $45 dollars I was expecting something of a higher quality than the $15 dollar costumes that you buy at Wal-Mart, but I was disappointed. It looks and feels cheap. I am a teacher and was hoping to have a costume I could wear in the classroom for a number of years but I am skeptical that this costume will last very long. It also doesn't look like the picture. Overall, it wasn't a bad costume it was just really overpriced for what I received."

Title: Sizing Issue

"I purchased this item last year as the regular adult sizing that was supposed to fit up to dress size 12. I'm of average height (5'6" and wear a size 8). The dress was way too small and way too short. This year I thought maybe the plus size might work for the length since the regualar adult was so small. The plus size did not fit either. There is no way that this dress would fit a size 22 person. There was enough room through the top for my size 8 but the dress hit at least 8 inches above my knee just like the regular adult. It seems this manufacturer has an issue with its sizing. I have ordered numerous other costumes from your sight and they have all been wonderful and have fit perfectly. This is the only costume that I have had problems with."
