"The ties in the back that zig zag where made of cheap dry thread and were already ripped when I took it out of package, I tied them back together and realized this would not last and returned item. This costume looks great onliine but it is not made with any quality materials I have other costumes that are fine from here, but this one is badly constructed"

"Great costume! The costume fit perfectly. True to size. It was very comfortable, and allowed me to stay warm without having to bring anything extra along. The pants are closed with a velcro lining, which surprisingly held up very well and did not come undone at any time during the night. There was definitely no question about what I was dressed up as!"
"The size of this costume was not what the size chart described in the description, that to me was very sad. Other than that is was a great costume."

"this is not at all waht it looks like in the picture...jacket is a hard wrinkled mess....you cannot get the wrinkles out. it runs larger in the breast area. i got a small and it fit snug in my arms loose in the breast area....DO NOT get this unless you want to look like a haggard she captian.....pants are the best part and those are only okay, they are like the old school balloon pants."

"I really wanted this costume to work for me because it was so cute! I am a C cup, and I couldn't get the cleavage the model was showing unless I wore a very padded bra, but when I did that, the jacket would come apart. It's just velcro used to close the jacket, and when I would push my shoulders back I could hear the velcro started to come apart. It fit fine, I got the Large and I felt like it was maybe a little too big. But if I had gotten the Med size, I don't think the jacket would've stayed closed. The collar also wouldn't sit down properly. ANd it was VERY hot. I tried it on, walked to other room to show my husband and I was already feeling a little warm. Don't think I would've lasted all night in this! I love the costume, it's great looking, just not on me!"

"I am not at all happy with the quality of the jacket. It's impossible to get the wrinkles out, because the lining seem to made out of rubbery plastic material. The collar does not lay right either."

"I am 5'3.5" and weigh about 130. The small fit me fine. Long dangly earrings and a gaudy necklace really add to this costume. The jacket is low cut and in the picture the woman has a lot of cleavage showing. As a B-cup, I didn't have any cleavage showing (which was fine with me.) I guess if you want something showing you can wear a push-up bra. I didn't even need the hat. My hair is short and saucy already, so it worked fine. I have two kids, and my stomach isn't as flat as I'd like, so I wore a close fitting cami under the costume to cover my tummy. The material of the jacket reminds me of those red bows people put out at Christmas, velvety on one side, so it was a little itchy. The pants were baggy, but were covered by the jacket, so it didn't really matter about the pants. Tall heeled boots are a must."

"I have a Halloween party every year, and I am NEVER comfortable in the costumes. I usually change into regular clothes by 11:00 at the latest (which doesn't roll over well with our guests). Last year I bought this costume and I wore it the entire night. It is very comfortable and looks great! I highly recommend this costume!!!!"

"I purchased 2 of these outfits for my wife and sister to wear in Walt Disney World at the Pirates and Princesses nite. They liked them very much. Many people at the park where asking us to take pictures with them and said the costumes looked great! The outer jacket is a little heavy for the summer time to walk around in but if you are wearing in doors or using in October you will have not problem. I also purchased boots and a hat which you should do if you realy want to set off the costume. The value was really worth it - both individuals will be wearing again at our annual Halloween Party this year."

"I have never been crazy about costumes; simply, because I always felt underdressed in flimsy cloth-like stuff...NOT THE CASE WITH MY PURCHASE FROM BUYCOSTUMES !!! The jacket is so impressively made. I purchased this to wear at my child's pirate party...every adult commented on how well made, tailored and good looking it was. I actually wore this 1 hour past the party!!!! I put a black low cut tank top on with this jacket...it was appropriate enough for a 5 year old party and still had enough adult appeal! Thank you Buycostume! IF YOU BUY THIS COSTUME, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!!"
"Really pleased with this costume when it arrived and had lots of compliments at Halloween. The jacket is thigh length front and back. The velcro closure at front needs careful attention as the lace sleeves catch on it when you put it on. The laces up the back mean you can adjust it to fit your shape - the costume is generously sized and true to the description unlike many costumes which run very small. The pants are drop waisted with velcro closure at back. I ordered the thigh high boot tops in pleather which looked great with it (tucked inside the pants) and the unisex pirate hat."

"costume came in fast from date bought. Fit was okay little snug across shoulders. There was not enought black sting for the crosett tie in back of jacket, I had to buy black ribbon for it too work. Jacket is very cool, can be easily used for another outfit. Whole thing was of well made, not cheep costume stuff you would get from department store. would deffently recomment this to anyone looking for the she captain/pirate look. Deffently want to wear a good push up bra with this makes the whole effect much nicer."

"The costume fit! For petite women, finding anything that fits is challenging and you guys did a great job with your size. The only disappointment I have to mention, is the fact that you had an item of the costume -the hat, that was unavailable. This was very disappointing since I really wanted the same look that you had on your site. You should always verify that all items are available or at least tell the customer when the item will be available. Other than that I really like my costume!"

"I was a little disappointed with the quality of this costume. The back of the coat has a fragile tie up back and a long velcro strip closure in front. Fine in theory, but not very sturdy. If you have an hourglass figure, you might consider a different costume as the laces do not do well when cinced to capacity at the waist and let out for the hips and bust. The costume runs big so consider a smaller size. Cute in pictures, so I would still recommend it."
