"loved this dress!!! got soooo many compliments in it- the red is actually a little darker (i find) than on the website which i was very happy about... i'm a size 8 and glad i ordered the large- it does run a little smaller than normal sizes (usually im a medium)
very much worth the $35- will wear again!"

"Loved this adorable flapper dress and found it very well made! I was a huge hit at the costume party I attended.

Just a word of caution: I'm normally a size 10/12 and bought this one in an XL just to be safe... very, very glad I did! It was very snug and doesn't stretch or give in the least. It fit great through my waist but was very taut over my hips. If you're a curvy (and lovely) woman like yours truly, be sure to size up!"

"I wore this costume a few years ago and it is very comfortable and high quality. I had no problems with the fit and i am about size 10. It does not have much stretch, so keep that in mind. It really draped well and I loved the fringe movement! The headband was not much to look at, so I put a very large red feather in the gold band and it really looked great!"

"Normally costumes run small on me, so I ordered an X-Large, and it was too big (despite how it was listed in the size chart). Regardless of that, I could tell that if I got the next size down, that it wouldn't fit me right (it would have ended up tight in some places and still loose in others). This dress is not made for people with curves, and it does not stretch much at all. I was also disappointed in the fringe. Some were cut and retied, and others had unraveled before I’d even take it out of the packaging. The material was of a much lower quality than I was expecting, and was overall not impressed with the dress. That said, I could see that it could still be fun to wear dancing, if it had been made right. If you want a cute flapper dress with fringe, you’re going to have to shell out a few extra dollars for the nicer dresses."

"The flapper outfit was superb, ideal for our roaring 20's party at our nursing home. However the XL is really more like a Large. So if you are concern about fit always go bigger by a size or two. Overall the red flapper outfit was bright, fancy and really captured the era."

"The flapper dress was super cute and looked great on, but it was very tight and uncomfortable. We left the party early because of that! If it had more "give" like lycra or spandex, it would have been a better product. Still, for the money it worked and I'm happy with the purchase."

"I checked out a few sites and knew I wanted a red flapper costume that wasnt too short. I didnt know what size to order. I read reviews and from other helpful reviews I decided on this one. "This was a very nice costume I thought. I am a pretty true size 8 I'd say and ordered a L and it fits perfectly. I wouldn't probably have fit into a M and a large would have fit but wouldn't have been form fitting. The large was just about perfect and did hug the curves but didn't look to snug when on. The dress seems well made but as previous reviews said, despite how the picture looks, some of the fringe is a little sparse across the chest, you can see the fabric through it although it doesn't look bad. Accessories make this dress look good, it only comes with the dress and head piece (in which the feather is too small) but add some pearl strings, black opera gloves and boa and some fish nets and you'll look awesome!"

"I usually wear a size 8 or 10 and ordered a Large thinking that it would have enough wiggle room thru the hips. This dress fit up top just fine, but was skin tight thru the hips (even with spanx). I could only take very short steps in it otherwise it rode up and forget about sitting! Quality seemed nice, but am returning it as there is no way I'm going to be able to wear it."

"My dress size is about 10-12. I read other reviews to order up in size because this dress runs small. I ordered an XL thinking this would probably cover it. It was super-duper snuggly tight! Some women may have wanted this, but I didn't. It was also pretty short for my taste. I returned it. It was actually a cute outfit, just not for me. In my opinion, the XL would have fit a woman size 8 somewhat nicely."
