"Being a big fan of the movie 300, I was thrilled that my 10 year old wanted to dress as a Gladiator Warrior (as he looked like a Spartan). The costume was perfect for him, made of quality materials and true to size. He loved it. In fact, he put it on (along with a giant smile) a few times before Halloween. I recommend getting a replica sword and shield as well. Both are light and easy to carry when trick-or-treating. I think your child will love them all."

"I have bought several costumes from BuyCostumes.com over the years and have always been very happy, until this purchase. My 10 year old son and I read all the reviews for this costume and were excited to for him to be a Gladiator for Halloween. The costume looks much better in the picture than in real life. The tunic doesn't even go all the way around (it ties in the back, making it look really cheap). The leg guards are way too big for his calves (he is average build) so we have to overlap the velcro so it sticks out and looks really funny. We were disapointed with the over all look. The material for the tunic is also very cheap looking, we have purchased things in the past that looked more real. I would not recommed this particular costume"

"This is an excellent costume for the money. My son wanted to be a Roman soldier or a gladiator and this definately fits the bill. He looked great. Pair with sandals for a great look. The fabric is a little thin which was OK for indoor Halloween parade and party but for trick or treating we'll probably put some white body armour under. Overall great costume!"

"My 11 year old son loves this costume! The only problem we had is that the arm and leg bands keep slipping - but that's NOT because of faulty craftmanship - it's because my son is very skinny! This was easily fixed with some extra velcro."

"Our family is doing a 300 Movie theme for Halloween this year. They do not have a child's size 300 Spartan costume, but this is the next best thing! This costume definitely surpassed my expectations! It is well made, easy to get into for my 10 year old, and very cool. He loves it! The price is awesome too!!!!! I highly recommend this costume."

"This year, I assumed my Star Wars obsessed kid would choose yet another character from the series, especially since the new Clone Wars film came out this summer. But when he flipped open a costume catalogue and saw the gladiator outfit, he determined right then that this was the costume for him. He LOVES ancient history, particularly military history, and the detail in this costume is really nice. The costume fits him well enough that we'll be able to put some warm layers underneath for actual trick-or-treating. Worn just as is, he looks ready to stand before his emperor and proclaim, "We who are about to die salute you!" Such a cool costume."

"I was a little skeptical when my son indicated that the Gladiator costume was what he wanted. I purchased it through buycostumes.com ( and I saved at least $40.00 by doing so...this costume was a little over $60.00 in the store). I was very happy when it arrived. It is a costume of good quality and comfort. It is very well made, and and he loved the look. He wore it to a Halloween party and even won a prize for most handsome costume!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good costume at a great price!"
