"Bought this for my 6 year old son. We liked that the mask had an open back which helped my son stay cool in the mask. The costume is good. Only the Velcro on the costume snags the material every time my son takes it off himself without my assistance. Overall, good investment."

Title: Great Costume, Troublesome Mask Date: November 19, 2009
"I ordered this costume as a Halloween costume for my 6 year old son. It arrived without the mask. I called BuyCostumes and they sent the mask out straight away.

The costume was great. Very detailed and authentic looking. Two problems:

First, the eyepieces on the mask are dark yellow-tinted plastic (like sun glasses) with foam around them on the inside for padding. After my son had worn the mask for a few minutes, he started complaining that he could not see. The eyepieces were fogging up from his breath being captured within the mask.After all the extra trouble we went to to get the mask, we ultimately had to discard it and just wear the costume without the mask.

Second, the belt is elastic with a velcro closure. There was no real adjustment and it was too big. We had to pin it tighter with a safety pin to make it stay up."

"This costume is a lot nicer than the cheaper version. It was a little pricey, but worth the extra money. Not only did it look better, but the fabric was also a higher quality. My son loved it and wears it all the time. The only thing that would make it better would be a back to the helmet piece."

"I bought this costume for my 7 yr old son who loves Star Wars.I ordered all the accessories, gloves, light saber and breathing device.
It came w/in 3 days as promised, unfortunatley it was damaged.
I called the customer service center to report the problem. They were very helpful, friendly and got me a new costume at no charge w/in 3 days.
We got the new one and it was perfect! He loves it, He has had it on ever since, he wants to sleep in it.
GREAT COSTUME, GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY, EVEN BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. This was our second purchase from this company, we ordered a costume last year and will do again next year. Thanks BuyCostumes.com."

Since I know he didn't have a clue what Star Wars was, I showed him the picture and read him the name and he was certain that was what he wanted to be. "This is a fabulous costume! My 5 year old loves it. Recieved it for his birthday and hasn't taken it off since. Fairly easy to put on, all velcro closures. Very comfortable and has a lot of detail. Goes great with the gloves and mask."

"once again a great costume from buy costumes! my son looked great in this costune. it is really cool. The sizing runs slightly small. i ordered one size up, and it fit my son great (he wore jeans and a sweatshirt underneath) He did need a little help getting it on as it is all one piece. The quality is great. The mask is a hard durable plastic, and probably impressed me the most about the costume. So many masks are cheap and flimsy and break very easily. I liked that this was so durable. i also got the gloves which completed the look. I highly recommend this costume."

"My son and I we're both so happy to see his costume was so stinken cool! It's 3-D look of the middle buttons and the attached belt (made of thick foam/plastic) gave the costume a nice appeal. I had no problem paying extra for the "deluxe" version, I'd rather my son look sharp. I've seen the $19.99 costume, and you can sure see the difference."

"I bought this outfit for my 7 year old son. He loves it! It fits him so well. I told him that he's the smallest Darth Vader I've ever seen!

You can't tell it from the picture here, but it comes with a very nice half mask. It's not the flimsy plastic ones like you might find with some costumes. I started to order a mask separately, but I'm glad I didn't. The one included is very nice.

The chain came loose from the cape the first time he put it on, but it looks like it should be easy to fix. Aside from that, I have zero complaints. This is a very good quality costume."

"This really looks much better in the picture...but my 10 year old doesn't care about that. He thinks this is the coolest thing he has ever seen. The mask was the biggest plus...it wasn't a flat mask as I feared...although it is not a helmet...it is a full HALF of the helmet! This would only be good for a handful of wears...not a staple for the dress up trunk!"
