Two, the skirt does not have criniline at the bottom to make it look full the way it does in pick.
Thrid, the way the top fit was HORRIBLE. The bust area is not true to size and to wear a bra underneath was near impossible because the fabric at the front would gape so you could see practically everything.
Overall, for the price they were asking - it was not worth it.
I have immediately returned the product and expect a full refund shortly."

Velvet riding hood costume worn with capri leggings
"I was looking for a cute, slightly sexy costume for Halloween. Really pleased with this outfit. I also got the wolf's head in basket, to throw a dark spin on riding hood. Excellent quality for a costume in black and red velvet. Cape is long and sheer, with velvet hood. The skirt is very short, leggings can easily be worn underneath. The sleeves make the costume warm to wear. Received lots of compliments on how the costume looked as well as the quality. I didn't go by measurements listed here. Size small was perfect for an Australian 8 - 10, which equates to US 6. This costume could be enjoyed for various themed parties. BuyCostumes was fast and efficient, highly recommended!"

"I was really impressed when this costume arrived. The shipping was on time and great and I took advantage of the special offers this site had so I got a great deal. The costume looked exactly like the picture. The quality is great, definitely worth the price. I received compliments all night regarding the quality. The skirt fit perfectly, but the top was a bit loose, but I pinned it and the problem was easlily solved. But for the most part, I found it true to size. I attended a party and I was comfortable all night long. It is definitely sexy but not too revealing, plus it is different from most other Little Red Riding Hood Costumes."

"The costume was fabulous. Well made and was very comfortable. You do have to buy one size up from what your real size is (which I read in one of the other reviews of the product). You can easily alter the costume if needed. Top is a bit blousey in the chest but overall, it fit very well. A costume you can wear over again. Thanks!"

"This costume is flirty without being too revealing; I'm 5'4" and the skirt came to mid-thigh. The fabric is soft and comfortable and durable as well. The only reason I did not give the "Fits True to Size" category a perfect score is because the bust was actually a too large, but that's the easiest thing to fix!"

"I bought this costume for a Halloween Party which wont be until the 25th however I wanted to write this review in time for someone wanting to buy this costume for Halloween. I love the cut it covers everything, but is still sexy. The velvet is warm so I'm hoping it will be cold or good air conditioning at the party I'm going to. Also I am a true Size 14 and the X-large just fits. The material has very little give which makes it look good and does not show any flab, but if your even remotely hovering on the size 16 side this costume will not fit."

"Definitely a nice quality and fun costume. Like others have said, the skirt is definitely short and the size factor is definitely smaller than the normal size. I normally wear a 10-12 (I purchased the XL) and the top was pretty snug but the skirt fit very well. I'm excited to see everyone's response at the party that's coming up. I also purchased the "basket with wolf head" - it is cute and adds to the costume - but will definitely have to stuff it to keep the shape."

"I purchased this outfit because I thought It was gorgeous, and it is! But the sizing is a bit off. I usually wear a medium to a large. so I thought i would purchase a large so it would be a little big and comfortable. When it came in the mail I was excited so I tried It on. It fits but is extremely tight, so tight that its not comfortable. So my advice is to order one size more than you usually wear if you dont want it skin tight. Otherwise It is a beautiful outfit. It is very warm material also."

"Lovely costume, quality quite good for price paid, how it holds up for an entire nite remains to be seen :) I normally wear a medium in clothes but bought a large as i thought it was going to be one of those that are not quite true to size, i was right. If you are a large ladies, the large size may not fit. However, there is a bit of elastic in the waist of the skirt also. The skirt is just a little short for me to be comfortable wearing all nite so i've opted to wear a pair of black leggings underneath which still looks good when all on together."

"I am an Australian size 16. I ordered the XLarge. When I tried it on, the back was way too small, the front was way too big and the sleeves did not stay in place. However, the costume is really beautifull, soft and is sexy. I added some velvet ribbon I found at the material shop ( a width of 3 and a half inches) to each side of the zip. Easy to unpick and re- sew. The bodice in the front, I unpicked, cut off an inch and a half each side and re-sewed (This was a little tricky). I added small loops to the underside of the top of the sleeves for my bra straps to go through, to keep the sleeves from slipping down. Although the outfit comes with a tie at the back of the bodice, this did not prevent the sleeves from slipping off the shoulder. I wore the outfit all night and was so comfortable in it. The underskirt did not scratch and I will wear it again. If you are a bigger than a size 12 to 14, the XLarge will not fit you."
