"This underskirt went great with my pirate wench costume, which, without it, was a little flat. I actuall ordered two different underskirts. I wasn't sure which one would work better. I wound up wearing both of them to get extra lift. I don't know if just one would have given me the right flair. I could have wished the teardrop was a little longer, It sat right at my hips and didn't fall below the end of the skirt. I did wind up winning the contest. Additionally, the boots, dress and both underskirts are from buycostumes.com"

"I have this petticoat in black and white for a variety of costumes. Not only does it add length and fullness but it takes the costume from fun to fabulous. If you're a detail person - this is the purchase for you. I am 5'10 and a sz 12 and I had no problem with the fit, despite the sz 10 warnings on the package. Wear it lower on the hips if you're a taller girl."

"I bought this to go under the pirate vixen costume,,, I found that it added too much poof for my liking, but it did add some pizzazz to the costumel. The waist area is very short, I had to wear it on my hips so that it would hang low enough, and i have a short torso! Also, it is a small fit, i read other reviews to this product and similar ones and when they say its a small fit,,, its a small fit! I am a size 10-12 depending on the clothes, and i ordered a regular size, and i found it almost too fitting, I would have ordered the plus size if i had my time back, but i have it now so I will just fix it to fit me!! not very comfortable either, but then how many crinolins are? so it is useable, and adds that poofy look you might want, just keep in mind that it is very uncomfortable"

"This petticoat was a little too short for my costume so I had to pull it down a little more for the bottom detail to show but it added the necessary poof to the costume. Would recommend wearing some sort of tights, stockings or pantyhose with it since it is a little scratchy on bare skin."

"Paired this with my pirate wench costume, it was a perfect match! Made the skirt look fuller and gave it more bounce. I didn't like how poofed out it made the back side though so I did a little altering to the fabric in that area; aside from that it was wonderful!"

"This lace skirt looks nice with the Scarecrow costume. Even though the edges are finished & nicely detailed, with the scarecrow costume it looks kind of ragged. It's a nice effect. Only 'trouble', if you wanna call it that, is that the WHOLE skirt bounces like crazy if you dance, move quickly or walk down stairs. There isn't enough weight in the skirt to hold down the flounce. If you'll be out in public, I'd recommend shorts underneath :^)"

"This petticoat does the job of making a skirt stand out. The teardrop pattern is very cute. However, I was surprised that it only has one layer to it. I thought usually petticoats had more layers. Also, I saw this on another site for much cheaper, but the shipping was more. I got this to wear under the female Mad Hatter costume. I have to pull it down a bit past my natural waist so that the bottom peeks out from the skirt. I'm excited about wearing this for Halloween! Any sexy costume with a skirt could use this petticoat."
