Title: Good petticoat; does not add poofiness Date: October 11, 2009
"I like the petticoat; I was looking for it to add a bit of poofiness to my Kandy Korn witch costume but it did not; It does however add to the costumes length and cuteness; I really like the teardrop design; it is a nice touch. It doesn't feel or look cheaply made; good purchase for your money. If you are looking for something to add a little length or a bit more to a costume then I would recommend this petticoat. If you want volume and poofiness added this is not the petticoat for you.

The one size fits all worked for me; I measure 44 bust 34 waist and 42 hips; I'm 5 11' and when worn at my waist it hangs 15.5 inches down.

Overall I am happy with my purchase"

"I bought the black and white because I didn't know which would look best. I ended up keeping both so I can use in the future and was able to lend to a friend and she loved it too. You can't go wrong with this. It gives you good length and adds a nice addition to any costume."

"When I received my Pirate wrench costume it look wonderufl with out the petticoat. But then when I added the Petticoat it totally made the dress look way hotter. The Petticoat definatly has to sit on your lower hips so the lacey stuff sticks out at the bottom. I would recomment any girl lookin to get a dress costume to add this petticoat to their costume to bump it up a notch."

"I ordered two of these for under my "Treasure Hunt Wench Sexy Adult" cosume. Two were perfect, as one wouldn't have made the skirt stick out enough and two makes it almost impossible to accidentally flash someone! The fabric is a really beautiful, high quality lace and looks much prettier than the site photo, also soft enough that you definatelly won't be itchy. I am 5"4 and 107 pnds, and the length was perfect(6 to 8inch above the knee), the waist elastic was also perfect for me but could be tight on a bigger waist(my waist 29inch) the elastic probably fits up to 35 inch waist. This item is awesome!

Also, my order which included costumes for 4 people arrived really quick, I paid extra for fast shipping(live in Alberta,Canada) and our order arrived 2.5 business days after ordering!!!!"

"I read the reviews on the costume that i bought and looked at the pictures but wasnt sure if it would have enough krinoline under the dress, so i bought the petticoat just in case...

the dress looked great without but the teardrop bottom looked great!!! and it kicked it up that little bit extra so that my queen of hearts costume looked that little bit extra sexy.

I love the petticoat and am also going to be using it for a fashion shoot im doing in the next couple weeks!"

"This underskirt went great with my pirate wench costume, which, without it, was a little flat. I actuall ordered two different underskirts. I wasn't sure which one would work better. I wound up wearing both of them to get extra lift. I don't know if just one would have given me the right flair. I could have wished the teardrop was a little longer, It sat right at my hips and didn't fall below the end of the skirt. I did wind up winning the contest. Additionally, the boots, dress and both underskirts are from buycostumes.com"

"I have this petticoat in black and white for a variety of costumes. Not only does it add length and fullness but it takes the costume from fun to fabulous. If you're a detail person - this is the purchase for you. I am 5'10 and a sz 12 and I had no problem with the fit, despite the sz 10 warnings on the package. Wear it lower on the hips if you're a taller girl."

"I bought this to go under the pirate vixen costume,,, I found that it added too much poof for my liking, but it did add some pizzazz to the costumel. The waist area is very short, I had to wear it on my hips so that it would hang low enough, and i have a short torso! Also, it is a small fit, i read other reviews to this product and similar ones and when they say its a small fit,,, its a small fit! I am a size 10-12 depending on the clothes, and i ordered a regular size, and i found it almost too fitting, I would have ordered the plus size if i had my time back, but i have it now so I will just fix it to fit me!! not very comfortable either, but then how many crinolins are? so it is useable, and adds that poofy look you might want, just keep in mind that it is very uncomfortable"

"This petticoat was a little too short for my costume so I had to pull it down a little more for the bottom detail to show but it added the necessary poof to the costume. Would recommend wearing some sort of tights, stockings or pantyhose with it since it is a little scratchy on bare skin."

"This lace skirt looks nice with the Scarecrow costume. Even though the edges are finished & nicely detailed, with the scarecrow costume it looks kind of ragged. It's a nice effect. Only 'trouble', if you wanna call it that, is that the WHOLE skirt bounces like crazy if you dance, move quickly or walk down stairs. There isn't enough weight in the skirt to hold down the flounce. If you'll be out in public, I'd recommend shorts underneath :^)"
