Galley Wench Gathered Skirt Renaissance Collection Adult

The gathered skirt has a double set of lacing holes in the back of the waistband, which allows for adjustments. The extra-high waistband is superior to elastic ones because it keeps the skirt tucked under the bodice all day. You'll never look disheveled! To achieve look pictured two skirts are used, one is tucked into the waist to create an extreme gathered look. Combine skirt(s) with Galley Wench Twill Bodice, Classic Chemise, and Ring Belt (all sold separately) to complete the look. Color: Curry. Belt purse and knife not included, nor available.

"I absolutely love this skirt. It has one draw back and that is that I got the wrong size so it was uncomfortable to wear. I didn't notice soon enough to exchange for the right size. However the skirt is beautiful, I was surprised at how heavy it was. Made very well. I also have very long legs and always have problems with skirts being too short and it wasn't a problem with this one. I would definatley recommend this to someone, however check the size when you open the box it has a tag inside of it."

"This was my first time purchasing my Renaissance outfit (I usually make my own pieces, but didn't have the time this year) and I've got to say that I was VERY impressed. I had never ordered anything from buycostumes before, but I'll definitely come back for more! The skirt was made out of very nice material and felt light, but well made. It fit true to size and was well worth the money. I bought the bodice, chemise, and belt as well. All four items were extremely well made and very comfortable. My only issue with this specific piece, however, was the length. I'm 5' 3" and it was VERY long. I ended up pinning it in certain areas so it wouldn't drag on the ground. All in all though, I was very satisfied with this purchase."

Title: Excellent Versatile Skirt and True to Size! Date: October 28, 2009
"This is a wonderful skirt in all of the various colors. The back has several eyelets type holes to allow the variance in waist size as specified in the sizing chart recommendations. If you are on the higher edge of a size, I would definitely go up as it will allow you to lace it tight enough. I found it right on regarding the waist sizes, and ordered the Large. The Medium was way too small for me (ordered it to compare) so go with your actual waist measurement.
Also purchased the Chemise and Navy Lock Lace Bodice to wear with it and added the ring belt to pull it all together. All highly recommended, and true to size. Quality costume that will last for years and years! I'm 5'6", 229 lbs. Have fun with this one!"

"This is the second item I have bought from BuyCostumes and once again I am beyond impressed. The skirt fits nicely with my chemise, just need to buy the bodice now. The only thing I wasn't too sure about is the manner in which to tie it, but it isn't overly difficult. Great quality, super fast shipping. "Great skirt! Fits a bit fuller in the waist than I expected but the lace up sides make it easy to adjust (if you are on the cusp of this one waist wise go down a size) Washes up perfectly and is made extremely well. I completed this outfit as pictured and was stopped countless times at the Arizona Ren Faire by both patrons and costumers asking where I had purchased the ensemble.
