The chemise is worn under all gowns. A timeless piece, the chemise today is better known as a slip. Chemises were designed to leave less wear and tear on the outer, more expensive garment. Made from soft cotton muslin, it is the same material used to back baby quilts. A roomy drawstring neck and full, long sleeves allow for a comfortable and individual fit. One size fits most.

"I bought this to go with my irish lass dress for the Michigan Ren. Fest. It looked great with it. The top is adjustable which I didn't realize until like the third time I wore it. But that makes it more fun because you can wear it different ways for different looks. But it is very big. If you are plus size; don't even hesitate because I gaurentee it will fit. But if you are petite; you are going to swim in this. But overall it's a great addition to my outfit. I've purchased from Buycostumes.com many times and have never had any problems. Shipping is fast and stress free. Returns are easy too so don't worry too much about that. I'm a very happy customer."

"Good quality and very comfortable to wear. Only thing you should be aware of is that it is huge, as it is one size fits all. I feel a bit swampped in it (I am medium size), so I would probably try and find something smaller next time. It does fit under the Avon Jupon gown however, which is why I bought it."

"This is a must piece to any Ren. outfit. It is huge so be prepared it will fit any shape or size. The rope in the neck is a bit bulky but more authentic looking and can be changed out easily. Washes up great and is long enough for even you taller gals. :) Enjoy and shop with confidence."

"While this is voluminous (one size fits most), it actually is really fun to wear, in my case off the shoulder with the Irish Lass bodice and the gathered skirt. The material is quality muslin cotton, although the drawstring is too thick for my liking. Other than that this is a great part of the Renaissance costumes offered by BuyCostumes.com."

"I purchased the skirt and top which are more fitted and came in different sizes. This product comes in 1 size and is quite large. It would have been nice to have it smaller.
