"I bought this costume four months early and couldn't wait to wear it on Halloween! I had to sew on a hook and eye to the feathers and the back of the dress because they did not stay velcroed on their own. Other than that it was a blast! Everyone commented on how original and awesome it was!"

"Costume was awsome but i had to send it back because the size is way off, i couldn't even get it past my shoulders...it should have been made with a zipper....i would recommend def ordering the next size up, no questions asked"

Title: Fun Costume!

"I ordered this costume for Halloween this year. I am 5'8'' 155 lbs and generally wear a size 8 dress. I could put the costume on and it fit me, but it was so short and came up so high on my shoulders that I had to have it altered. I didn't find the right color green ribbon to replace the straps so I went with gold. I had to move the holes that tie the tail on and add a hook and eye too. While I was having it altered the ribbon that tied the tail on broke and I had to replace that too. It's kind of hard to sit down in too unless you have the feathers up or you are okay with sitting on and mangling the tail.

All those things aside, the costume was so much fun. All night I heard, "Oh my gosh, it's a peacock!" walking down the street. My friend and I entered two contests and won second place in both of them. It's a really fun costume and no one else had it. There were a ton of pirates and naughty school girls but only one peacock!"

Title: So Cute!

"Such a cute costume!!! Received it super quickly which was awesome (live in Ontario, Canada). Sadly it was slightly damaged so I called their customer service line and they are shipping me a new one at no extra cost!! Definitely made from good material, and fits Very well!! it is short though, so I am going to be wearing shorts underneath mine so that I'm not giving a peep show if I bend over!!
As others mentioned, the tail is heavy on the throat (as it attaches to the back of the choker) and I will probably attempt to change it from Velcro to a hook & eye for it to stay together easier.
Otherwise -- TOTALLY recommend this costume!!! I'm not sure how I will top this one next year its just too cute!!!!!"

Halloween 2008

"This costume was a HIT! I am so glad that I made the purchase...although it's going to be hard to top next year! Maybe I'll end up wearing it every Halloween! *haha*
Anyway, I would definitely recommend this costume to anyone. I ordered a MEDIUM however I'm a size 3/4 (medium apparently is 6/10) but it worked out great because you can adjust the back like a corset and I just sewed the straps a little. It is better to get bigger than smaller I advise as you can make your own adjustments!!!"

"I work at BuyCostumes, so naturally I have a bunch of costumes in my closet. This is my favorite one! I did make some alterations though. I took out the cheaper ribbon in back of the costume and replaced it with nicer, stronger ribbon. I secured the ribbon hold the tail together with more thread. I added peacock feathers to the tail and more to the hat (I even made earrings I wear in real life!). The costume was a big hit!
Excellent costume for those that don't want something too short. I am 6'0 tall and it was long enough to cover my bum.
Buyer Beware: I am one the smaller size of 8-12 and it fit me perfect."

"the men are colorful the women are white!
I loved the costume - i am not a plus size though and ordered the regular one - and it did not fit me at all in the bust - so i took it to a tailor and added a little fabric up top! - I also found the velcro not strong enough to hold the tail so i had a button added too! Otherwise - No one was wearing my costume at the west hollywood parade and i felt like a celeb when everyone wanted to take their picture with me - yay! it was super fun!"

"When i purchased this costume I was a bit worried with the size, as previous reviews states that it's smaller, and I'm generally a size 0.. but thankfully they were right!! The dress is a corset style so you can tighten it as much as you want. It was difficult having the tail up with just the velcro on the neckpiece (pulled on the neck too much, very uncomfortable) so i took the velcro off the neck piece and tail (since it was green), and got additional black velcro.. I put the black velcro onto the back of the dress near the top, and then with the tail up figured where to stitch the green velcro onto the tail.. added much more support and made it soo much easier to have it up.. as a just in case i also put a eye/hook on the neckpiece and the tail, but didn't really need it at all.. Hopefully that helps any future buyers.. OVERALL the costume was a hit.. I absolutely loved it and was very content with my purchase.. Definitely worth the money!"

"I had my eye on this costume since last year, but it soldout. So I knew I had to have it this year! 70 dollars is the most I have ever spent on a costume, but this also the most elaborate costume I have ever gotten.

It says a mdeium sizes 6-12, but it doesn't have a zipper, so it probably fits people who are a size 2-8 best ( I am a 4).

When I got it I bent out the metal pieces in the tail, sewed an extra stitch through the straps because they are ribbon, and I ironed out the dress and tail.

I got so many compliments on this costume! I must say the tail is a little cumbersome because I was trying to navigate around at someone's small house, but still way worth it."

"This costume is great. The bubble skirt is elastic at the hem, which makes it easy to adjust whether you're more comfortable wearing it short or longer toward the knee. The tail is a bit heavy and pulls on the choker, so I safety pinned it up in a few places. I also added several feathers I picked up from the arts and crafts store by snipping holes in the "tail" and shoving them down inside. Okay, won't lie to you - getting through a door was extremely difficult. But, overall, FUN FUN FUN costume."

"The quality of this particular costume really impressed me. The bodice and skirt are made of a sturdy materials and the tail holds it's shape with nice heavy wires that run between each panel. I was also very happy to realize that there is a thread of elastic that runs around the hem of the bubble skirt that holds it to your legs comfortably. The tail attaches to the choker for it's 'stand up' position fairly well although the tail feels heavy and pulls on your neck a little. Also there is a way to lace the bodice up in the back that allows for a tighter or looser fit- making it very easy to wear if you're harder to size.
I wish I could give 6 stars for the fun factor- NOBODY wasn't excited by seeing me in this costume- it got so much attention and it didn't have to be overly racy for that, either. It was a blast to wear!"

"I love this costume. It definately was the attention grabber at every party! I won Halloween costume contests left and right. The costume was very well made and worth the price. I had to take in the shoulder straps a bit because it was kind of sagging. But it was a very simple stitch and it lasted through a week of Halloween parties. I definately recommend this product!"

"This was a great purchase, I am really excited to wear this costume. Only thing is the wings don't stay up to good with the velcro attached to the neck piece, so I am going to take another girls advice and attach a hook and an eye instead. Fabric is flimsy and i'm normally a size 6, i got a medium and it just fits, it has straps that don't hold much! But other than that...totally fun!"
