"Ordered this to wear to a Halloween costume party this year. Shipping was impressively fast. The costume itself is awesome. The material is actually good quality, not just thin cotton. It fits great on us bigger girls and is very true to size (i usually wear between a 20 and a 22 and the XX-Large fit great.) The corset back makes for a VERY individual fit. The sleeves offer great coverage for those of us that have arm issues. I look forward to dolling up and wearing it this year! I would definitely encourage you to buy this costume!"

"I am very pleased to say that I LOVE the chambermaid costume I ordered!! I also ordered the petticoat and am a little disappointed in the length..I was hoping it would be a little longer, but it gives the effect to the skirt that I wanted :) It is true to size..I usually take a size 20 so I ordered the xxl and it fits me beautifully!!! I recieved my costume 2 days after I ordered it...I will definatley be ordering from buycostumes again and I've already told my friends about it :)"

"I really loved this costume! When I first received it in the mail, there was some dirt on the apron but luckily it came out with a little detergent and water. The size was too big for me but I actually took it in around the top and the sides and it was perfect! I ordered it larger to be on the safe side but the sizes are true. The quality was great too! It didn't feel or look cheap. I had so much fun in this costume and all my friends thought it was so sexy and cute. I definitely recommend this costume!"

"Its really hard to find a costume that fits like its supposed to on the internet, and this one did perfectly! I wore it all night without having to tug at it or feel uncomfortable at all!! "I'm a size 26/28 and I was a little skeptical about ordering a costume for the first time in my life at 44, but this exceeded my expectations. It can be adjusted to fit even bigger. I'm 5' 10" so the length was perfect for me. I didn't get the corset but I think it's better for me without it. I can't wait to wear it!!"

"This costume is perfect! The length shows just enough leg. The bra portion accentuates my best features. The quality of the fabric is outstanding for a Halloween costume.

As far as sizing goes, the bodice is corseted to adjust for size. I am about a size 16/18 and I ordered the X-Large. The dress could potentially fit a much larger woman. I have the corset cinched as tight as it will go."

"I absoultly LOVE this costume! The Lenght is Prefect, The Cut and Style is perfect! And the quality is outstanding!. I was expecting a cheaply made outfite, and Suprise it is a thick Material, and Just the best that I could ask for. The only compaliant that I have is that where my bra straps meet the cups on my bra. For this out fit is cut a little narrow there. So Its off to buy a new bra.
I would totaly suggest this costume to anyone, and everyone!"

"I was pleasantly surprised, It was my first time buying a costume online so I was nervous... I can wear anywhere from a size 22 to a size 26 at it fits just fine! The dress has a little stretch to it and can be cinched nice and tight without feeling like it is going to burst at the seams. I am going to use it as a beer maid... just gonna add a little german style ribbon to it... I can't wait to go out on Halloween night in this very cute dress.."

"I had a costume bachelorette party to go to and this was just perfect. I am a big girl and I felt totally cute and sassy without feeling uncomfortable and fat. Also, a lot of places do not have costumes that fit me well and this one was perfect. Perfect length, perfect at the arms, and perfect at the bust...almost like it was made specifically for me. "I was very pleased with the style and quality of this costume when I tried it on. I ordered the 3x as I am a size 24/26 and it fit very well, with room to spare. There is an adjustable lace up back to get the fit exactly right. It is a figure flattering style with the scoop neck and cinched waist. The length is also flattering. Fishnets, a white petticoat, and a pair of heels make this a sexy, fun, plus-sized look! I can't wait for the Halloween parties to show it off. Thank you!"

"Ordered outfit with petticoat and french maid pouch.
Fits excellently. I'm a UK size 22 and I can't wait to wear it.
The petticoat fills it out more and makes it a bit more flirty, but comes up shorter than the dress, so I have to pull it down to my hips for a better effect. Dress is ideal if you don't want to show off too much leg.
The bodice is really sexy and gives a great shape to the bust area and waist. For those ordering from the UK, note that I had to pay an extra £31.00 for the UPS delivery on arrival, so factor this into your purchase price.
Never go to fancy dress parties as I can't find nice outfits in my size, but I would wear this over again."

"This is a cute costume but it was a little too long.. I hemmed about 3 inches off of it.. I like that in the back of the dress you can loosen or tighten it because it was too big on me.. It was comfortable and I was happy I chose this costume. I liked how it looked better without a petticoat. Without hemming it the skirt was too long to see any white on the bottom of the dress.
I ordered my costume on Oct. 20th and recieved it by the 24th."

Title: LOVE IT!!! THE best fitting costume EVER!!!!

"I'm crazy about this costume! It looks just like it does online in real life. The quality is excellent and I couldn't be happier with the fit. I got the XL size and it fits perfectly. All of the other plus sized things I tried on were to big and the M-L size clothes are often too tight on me(especially in the hips and chest which is where this costume has the most room.) The sides are darted and there is elastic in the chest area which makes it a perfect fit. I cant even tell you how excited I was when I found this costume.

I've purchased 2 French Maid costumes before this one, but this is by far the best. The material is great (it's not cotton, but it is still very comfortable), the attention to detail perfect, and the design is very well done. Even if I had, had this costume made, I don't think that it could possibly fit an better than it does. I am extremely pleased! And that's coming from a perfectionist! The only detail I am adding is a little lace trim around the bottom of the skirt since I didn't order a petticoat, but I think it will be fun to choose the lace.

I love that it's not super short! There are about 50 different versions of a French Maid that I have seen and about 90% are short skirts. I am glad to find a design that covers more than just your bum. This costume is easily altered if you did want a shorter skirt though. I'm 5'7" and the skirt comes to a couple of inches above my knees ( just for reference.) It doesn't come with anything but the dress. One more detail, It ties up like a corset in the back and the front, but there is no boning so it's very comfy. This is the best costume I've ever had!
Needless to say....
LOVE IT!!!"
