"Bought this costume to sort of match out with my husband, whom I oredered the "Gambling Man" for, without the silk cap, and sash, it looks like a bar maid outfit, and matches up with my husbands costume perfectly! Size wise, I run between a 24-26., ordered the 3xl, plenty of room in the dress, the vest has no extra room, but looks good, Ordered this to wear at a Halloween costume party on a cruise. Can't wait! The extra accessories to make it a pirate costume is just a plus. Gives you 2 costumes for the price of one. Dress quality is very good, the vest could be made a little better."

"I LOVE my new pirate costume! It arrived in less than 1 week even with ground shipping. Not only does it look "authentic", it is sturdy and well made. The photos here do not do this costume justice. I ordered one size larger and it fits great. I can't wait to wear it to the party. It even comes in its own full length zippered suit bag for storage. I can certainly wear this costume again - using a few different accessories (scarves, belt, jewelry) to change the look into a tavern wench or fortune teller. Postage was great and when we got the costumes they were in perfect condition, I tried this costume on and it was so comfortable, i didnt wear the tulle petticoat with it as it was to itchy for my liking but the costume still looked HOT!! "This is a pirate costume, but remove the black & white striped apron and skull cap and it's a German beer wench. Great! Costume fit great and was of good quality, the only negative thing was the krenlin worn underneath the skirt was a little itchy, so I took it off ,but other than that was very comfortable."

"I was very nervous about buying a plus sized costume online. I wasn't sure the sizes would be correct or that the quality would be worth the high prices. After shopping around online for acouple weeks and reading all of the reviews for this costume I decided to suck it up and spend the money. Although it was alittle over priced for my taste this costume is GREAT. I was very happy with the overall quality although the vest could have been made out of a better material. And the thing that was even better is that the costume shipped the next day and I received it 3 days after ordering and I only paid for standard shipping. I plan to wear this costume to mardi gras in a few weeks and couldn't be more excited.
One more thing that I would like to add is that with the sizing I was worried that the costume would be tight due to the measurements described for the 3x...but I could have actually bought the 2x and it would have been fine. Even with that said I am very happy with this costume and am sure I will get much use out of it in the future."

"Whether you want to be a pirate, or else ditch the vest, scarf and tie and play with the basic idea to become a gypsy, serving wench, etc... this is a terrific costume.
The size is great (I'm an Australian size 22-24 and I ordered the 3x costume) and the quality is really good - by keeping it in its costume bag (which it arrives in), I know l will be able to get a lot of use out of it over the coming years.
As a tarot reader, I'm sometimes asked to come to functions dressed as a gypsy. I've always settled for a headscarf and some gold jewellery, but this season I donned this outfit, minus the pirate accessories, and it went down really well.
Some costumes really only end up getting used once or twice because they are very specific, but this one can be used as a base for a dozen different types of costumes and roles and if that's of interest to you, this is a very good investment.
Someone else mentioned the netting being uncomfortable and it does get a bit that way after sitting for a while, but it's not too bad, and you also have the option of taking it off a bit later in the night (it doesn't look as good, but it still works), or else wearing something like a slip underneath to protect your skin from the netting itself.
It's a fun costume, has already been the talking point at a couple of functions and I really enjoy wearing it."

"WOW!!! This costume was the best!!! I had been invited to an out-of-state halloween party and was not sure what to do. I went on line & found your site. You advertised my size and placed the order, the costume was here in no time. I also ordered a pair of boots & a sword as accessories. When I tried it on, it was so comfortable....I never thought it would feel so good wearing a costume like this. Well, I packed it up and went on my trip. Needless to say, I won one of the several costume contests at the party that night. Many people told me that it was one of the sexiest costumes at the party. I had so much fun. "I normally wear a 14/16, XL shirt. This costume was a 2XL, because I thought it would run small, and it was a size too big, but still fit good enough to wear. When I received it, it came in a nice garment bag and made my husband jealous because of the quality of the costume compared to his. However, on one half of the upper part of the blouse, the elastic was messed up and not holding like it should have, so I bought some elastic and mended it up real quick. Still, this was a great costume, although, it could have been a bit cheaper."

"I purchased this product because it was cute - I kept it because it is SOOOOO neat. I am a 18-20 and it fit like a glove, my friend who is a 24 wore it as well, and it worked for her too. I am 6 feet tall and it totally worked with a pair of nice boots. The only qualm I had with this costume was that the vest is quite a stretchy material and it started ripping where the gromnets are - that is the only thing that was wrong with this costume. It was great. I am the one with the curly hair and my friend is the other one."

"I am sceptical when purchasing costumes but this one is GREAT! In reading other reviews it was stated that this is a well made costume and that is true. I was willing to pay a little more for something that I would be able to use over and over again and this is it! It looks exactly like the picture and is made of high quality fabric. Most of the time sizing can run small so I ordered one size larger and I probably could have stuck with my exact size. The dress was an OK fit but the black vest was a bit large. Still works though. I am very happy with this costume and so is my husband. Apparently, he has a thing for pirates!"

"I just received my costume today and had to try it on! I have to thank everyone who reviewed this product because you helped me make a good decision! This costume is adorable and looks as good as the picture on! I'm generally about a size 12-14 in pants, but rather busty on top (I usually where an XL in tops, but button up shirts in XL are often too tight). Naturally, I was concerned that it would be tight on top, so I opted for the XXL just in case. However, I think I would have been fine in with the XL. Regardless, the dress is made with elastic and while it's a little loose it's not falling off me and it does not look too big. I'm wearing this to a Halloween wedding and the ceremony is supposed to be outdoors at night. So having the extra room will come in handy in case it's real chilly and I want to put on thermals or something.
If you're looking for a nicely made cute costume that you can get more than one wearing out of before it falls apart, this one is it! I forgot to mention that they include a nice garment bag to store it for future masquerade parties!
PS: This costume is NOT made in China. It's made in Vietnam
