"I ordered this costume online, when I tried it on it was super long and I would have had to cut part of the bottom off, however it fit so snug around my legs it would be hard to walk, the mesh part was very long and it would have had to been altered as well, it is for someone with a very long torso. It is a gorgeous costume of nice quality just didn't fit me who is 5'2 & 115lbs."
"This costume is so beautiful. It's long, but if you pull up the skirt part to your thighs, you can walk and it still looks cute. I wore a turquoise colored tube bra to go over my bra, since its backless and the top part runs bigger. I wore it as a tube top though because I thought it looked better that way, and it was actually more comfortable and gives you more cleavage."

"The costume is beautiful. I am 5'9 (Size 8) and the mesh fin is really long. So I had to cut off a lot of the fabric at the bottom- so I could walk. The top is completely see through. You can't wear a regular bra with it, so you really need an adhesive bra. I ended up buying a teal tank top to wear under it so I could wear it to work. Overall really pretty costume, but I was a little disapointed with the way it fit me. I ordered a medium and it was really large in the top and really snug in the waist. I paired it with a long blonde wig. I haven't ever seen a costume like it, so interested to see how people react."

"I was very excited about this order, mostly because all the other mermaid costumes were cheap looking or really revealing. Unfortunately, when I got it and tried it on, it was way too big, plus I could barely walk in it because the skirt area is tight all the way down and the fabric drags. I was worried people would step on it and it would rip. After paying almost $100.00, I didn't want it to rip. Ended up sending it back...it was simple and easy! Probably the best online costume service I've used. I reordered a different costume and many accessories. I am very please with buycostumes.com!!! THANKS!"

"This costume was wonderful! I wore it last year for halloween, I felt so beautiful and I got a lot of comments. I got a medium and it fit everywhere except in the stomach I had to pin the back together to make it a little smaller. I also cut off some of the lace at the bottom to make it easier to walk in. The part that covers the breasts is see through! so make sure you have something to wear underneath it, i just wore a bra that stuck on and it held up all night. love this costume"

"Was so excited when i received my order only after 3 days to Australia. Fantastic!!! Fitted pretty well and looked amazing.... i got it for my nieces 4th birthday party- as it was a mermaid party, all the kids and adults loved it and asked where i got the gorgeous costume.. Only negative is that it would help if this costume had an in built bra, did not feel very secure, despite lots of hollywood tape. Otherwise very happy and am already looking at what to buy for my next dress up."

"The sizing on this costume is very close to the sizing chart. I normally wear a medium and actually could have purchased a small. I read several reviews and the website before purchasing the item. My first purchase was a large because a particular review mentioned that they normally wear a small, but had to buy a large and then the website mentioned that the large measured 34 in the bust so I purchased the large and it would fit those that wear a 12-14. The shipping was amazing even during the holiday season."

"I bought this costume for my halloween birthday party. I loved how this costume looked on me I felt beautiful wearing it. I got compliments all night long, that's what made it even more fun wearing it. It is for a longer torso, which i don't have, but we made it work. I was so excited to get it in the mail, it even came earlier than expected. Overall, I would recommend using this website to anybody, and their products aren't make cheaply, so you get what you pay for. I do plan on buy future costumes from here. "I purchased this costume for the 2007 halloween season and I received it 3 days later (so fast!). The quality is superior compared to the average costume and much more than I expected. The scales are done individually, not a print as you would see in other mermaid costumes. The fit is true to scale, and it is made for a snug fit. The back looks just as amazing from the front. I would recommend this costume in a heartbeat! It looks exactly like the picture!"
