"My mom is being this for her Halloween party. She says it fits perfect. It's a little big on her but she'd rather have it big than too small. She likes the fact that its longer than the usual costumes my sister and I wear. I went as a pirate last year (red vixen pirate wench) and bought all the accessories so she is just using the hat I used last year.

I definitely recommend you getting the hat if you dont have it already. I think it makes the costume.

Overall, a nice easy costume that is really comfortable!"

"I had so many compliments about this outfit.
As the other comments indicated, the red sash and red ribbon doesn't match, but i wore it any how, and no one noticed.. it looked fine. After all, I was a pirate.
In another comment, some one said something ripped or was very chessy in the chect area, I didn't have a problem. I was very comfortable in it all night long... 14 hours!!! No rips, no tears... the only thing that hurt was my feet!
The hat was adorable.. I loved everything about this costume.
My only advise.. choose your shoes/boots well!!!
I bought black TIGHTS.
It's a very sexy outfit! I'm putting it away, and I'm sure I can or someone else can wear it another year.
If you like this outfit, you will be very happy with it!"

"When my husband saw this costume he called it cute. When I put it on he called it sexy. It is light weight both the top and the skirt. I plan on wearing a slip under the skirt so it feels like it covers more. The size I think is a little off. I normally wear a large and the XL is close to being snug."

"I LOVE this costume and hesitated buying it because of the price of it but I just got it and its so awesome! I love that its different than all the other pirate women and I totally plan to wear the skirt during the year.

"The skirt is great and fun- so far. the top, as I was unfolding it, not pulling tightly at all and it ripped. the corset is thread bare construction, and you'd be lucky to get it on without destroying it. At least that's how mine came, maybe others have had better luck. I'm using the skirt, but there was no chance of even sewing or repairing the top, very poor material. Also, the skirt is fun and I like it, but keep in mind- these costumes always come very thin. Good luck!"

"I am an Australian size 18 and this size costume fitted me perfectly. The only thing i needed to add was a black petticoat under the skirt just so you couldnt see through it. Changed the red ribbon on top to black as the red didnt match the red in the waist tie. More than please with outfit."

"I purchased the XL size (I usually wear a 14/16 size). It fits good and the 2-piece costume is very comfortable. The top is a little stretchy so it gives, yet is form-fitting. Also, you can pull the skirt up a little higher for better coverage at your waist. I substituted cream ribbon for the red at the bodice because it didn't match the red shade of the sash. Otherwise, it was great!"

"The costume looks good on the web but is very fine material in the bodice. It fits well for a larger fuller but the plastic 'boning' in the bodice pops straight through the fine black material as soon as you put it on. The skirt isn't such a fine thread and not so susceptible to tearing or running. (I did read this on another review) and appreciated it. The price was very economical (even after converting to $AU) and adding in the shipping. I was absolutely stunned at how quickly it arrived and very confident with the security of the site for overseas credit card transactions. Luckily I had time to insert a new panel before the party otherwise this would have been a total disaster. I have seen this same item on websites in Australia for more than twice the price!?"

Title: TERRIBLE!! Don't Waste Your Time or Money!!

"I was so excited to wear this costume. I put it on and loved it. BUT, within a matter of minutes it had ripped. The plastic stays came out of the top of the 'corset' and ripped along the side and bottom. The back of the top is that stretchy fabric. Unfortunately the front is the thinnest, cheapest piece of material I have ever seen. Maybe one step up from paper. For as much as this costume cost, I expected the material to be of better quality. Take my advice and DO NOT order this. You will be sorry!!"

"Not impessed with the top as it ripped at the side seam while I was wearing it at a banquet. Also all the plastic things in the top also poked out of the top of the costume. I am not an overly large person & the costume size fit me good."

"This costume is amazing! It fit my body perfectly! I wore it to a Halloween party one night and because of the good quality of the costume, I will be wearing it again for a party this weekend! Being a plus sized woman means a possibility of even a plus sized costume being too snug but it really fit like a glove! I received SO many compliments on it! The costume is actually very slimming and makes your "upper bits" look wonderful! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decent and sexy pirate costume. I've never had to much fun and I owe it all to looking great in the Gold Doubloon Pirate outfit!"

"I waited and waited for this costume to show. When it did, I tried it on and the top ripped right away !!! Now I have to sew it to make sure that it doesnt do it while I am at the costume party I have to attend. I would normally send it back but I knew I didnt have enough time to do this and find another costume, so I ended up with some faulty clothing...."

"This costume is the 2nd I've bought for myself and absolutely love it!!! Again, supurb quality and great value for the money. I'm a 42DD and the top not only fits, it shows a "big girl" CAN be sexy. Nothing is too tight-very comfortable to wear. I paired #20070 Victorian Black Patent Boots with the outfit, and of course the matching Swashbuckler Hat #21741. Black or red fishnet stockings will add the finishing touch to this outfit. It's something I can knock Hubby's eyeballs out of his sockets when I wear it on Halloween. This costume oozes confidence when you wear it!"
