Elegant Pirate Lady Adult Costume

This beautiful burgundy velvet jacket with delicate gold filigree embossed on it, has gold buttons up the lapel, and velvet turned-up cuffs. Completing the outfit are velvet pants, leather belt, and white lace jabot and cuffs. Velvet Pirate Hat sold separately. White top beneath the jacket is not included. Boots are sold separately.

"This costume is worth every penny. It does fit a little tighter so I would get one size bigger. I learned this from another review and I am glad I took there advise. "I recently purchased the Elegant Pirate Lady outfit plus the Velvet Pirate Hat and loved it !!! As I read in other reviews, the outfit runs a little snug, so I ordered a larger size and it fits great. The hat is awesome and I am very happy with everything I received and in a timely order. "I purchased this outfit for Halloween and wore it to work and then later to a party. I received more compliments on the quality of the outfit and how beautiful I looked. They could not believe I ordered it online. Since I am 6 ft tall, it is extremely difficult to find outfits that fit properly. The pants were not long enough, but I just tucked them into my boots anyway and that solved that problem. I also sewed the lace cuffs into the inside of the sleeve and it worked out just great. Of course I added lots of pearls and bling bling to make it look like I found a treasure. The pistol was also lots of fun and I had no idea it would light up and make sounds. I can't wait to wear it again next year and I will probably wear it to the Renaissance Festivals as well."

"I got so many compliments on my costume. I went to a party where I could have gotten away with a really sexy costume but decided to stand out by leaving something to the imagination and this costume really did that! Beautiful fabric, great fit, and with the hat was a real eyecatcher! I am a really tiny sz 0 and only 5 feet tall so this jacket fits on the small side except through the shoulders. I ordered xs"

"This is a gorgeous costume!! I wore it last week to a costume party and received compliments all night long. I also had other guests asking me for pictures! I was very pleased! I am 5'8" and 145 lbs. I order the XLarge and it fit. I am really busty, so I needed the size up (ordinarily I would order a Large). I did have to tack the lace cuffs to the sleeves of the jacket or they would not have stayed on.....but that was a minor fix. I did order the Leg Avenue Pirate boots also from this website and I put elastic on the bottom of the pants to make a stirrup so the pants would not ride up. I will order from this site again! I also received my order in 4 days with standard shipping!"

"This is a beautifully made costume. Very elegant, like a costume you would find on the lot of a movie. This costume could easily double as an eighteenth century costume for a fun mystery murder dinner. It fits true to size and the pants are stretchy and very comfortable. "This is the most beautiful costume for a pirate lady. Very elegant, and extremely well made. It is absolutely stunning, and fits very true to size. The cuffs and collar that comes with it are made out of white lace, and the trimming on the hat I bought were of cream color lace. This does not affect the costume at all if you do not purchase the hat. It is really a stunning outfit."

"I ordered the X-large because I wear a womens size 16/juniors 17. Both the top and bottoms fit well. The velvet bottoms stretch. They are snug but get loose below the knee (need to alter to make skin tight or wear boots over them to hide) Approx 32" inseam. Seperate white lace cuffs are too loose and move around so you will have to stitch to the jacket."

Title: Beautiful jacket but too bad its very small Date: September 25, 2007
"I ordered this costume for my 11 year old daughter in a extra small (size 3-5) hoping that it would be a generous fit on her. This just fits her and does not fit my 12 year old daughter at all as the arms are very tight. (My eldest is a size three and my youngest is a 12 in children's). Its a beautiful jacket - looks really cute on but the cut is just too small in the shoulders and arms. I would recommend this costume but only if you are very small through the shoulders and arms and even then, go up a size or two."
