"Not only was this lace white petticoat a great price but it added so much to my costume. I really shopped around and found that other petticoats were made too small and were overpriced. The one I found at buycostumes.com fit perfectly. It was comfortable, looked great under my costume, was well made, and did not bind . I will definitely use it again and again."

"I admit I did expect better but its not terrible... it was cheaper than the ones I found in stores. Its not itchy like some reviews say. Its not very think though...but it does add fluff! If you are looking for something to really fill out a dress/skirt I dont think this is for you. This adds just enough. It fits plus size - thats a good thing! It also needs to sit out prior to wearing to get the wrinkles out from being shipped in a bag. I would give it a 8 out of 10. :-)"

"I wanted to get a petticoat that would puff out a costume. This does not puff it out as much as...I... would have liked, but it is a nice pettecoat and a good fit for a plus gal. It does give your costume some puff... but... that's it ...only some. Don't get me wrong this is a good product but I wanted more ruffles."

"Although I thought I needed a petticoat for underneath the Little Miss Tuffet costume- I didn't. The length of this petticoat is great since its not super short however it totally stuck out from underneath the bottom of my costume!"

Title: Totally fun item--but not exactly as advertised Date: October 16, 2008
"I knew that I had to have the petticoat for my costume, but I was worried about the fit. Luckily, it fits great. I wear anywhere between an 18-24 depending on different makers, and I think there is quite enough stretch for sizes larger than me. That being said, the petticoat I got wasn't exactly like the one advertised. The description reads: "layers of white lace around the bottom edge." This is not true. While the product bag it came in also pictured super ruffle-y layered petticoats, mine arrived with only a single layer. It is very cute, and gives my costume skirt some bounce, but is not as pouffy as I would have liked. Keeping it crumpled up in a drawer until I want to wear it should help with pouf. Also, I've only tried it on twice, and the lace on the bottom has already started to detach. I would still recommend it though. It's for a costume, not everyday wear."

"I haven't worn a petticoat since I was a little kid and forced to wear it by my family! I put this underneath a short-skirt costume, as recommended by the site. But it was itchy/scratchy, looks poorly made, and really stiff inbetween the "ruffles." The top part was loosey goosey that I will have to pin this thing to the outfit because it hung uneven. I might be better off leaving it at home because my costume was great without it!"

"I got this peticoat for my french maid outfit and it is the perfect addition. I didn't find it scratchy at all. I am pretty big and I was scared it would be too tight, but it wasn't and I was so thrilled. It made me feel extra sexy and gave just enough lift to my outfit. I can't wait to use it again on Halloween."

"Priced good but it shows its cheaply made. Its like a slip with mesh sewed to it. It is very itchy and doesnt give much lift to the costumes. I would look for the whisper soft petticoats in plus they are great and come in LOTS of colors. Unfortunately they dont have them here in plus yet. Im sure its only a matter of time."
