Title: Not worth it!

"If you are looking for a nice UV light, steer clear of these types of incandescent "UV" bulbs. They generate far less ultraviolet light than their fluorescent counterparts and heat up a lot faster. In fact, manufacturers strongly suggest that the bulb be kept upright and not be mounted upside down because the bulb is unable to dissipate heat like a white incandescent bulb. That means burns and overheating are possible. Skip this bulb and get a nice black light fluorescent tube!"
