"This costume was great! Me and my boyfriend were gangsters for halloween this year and it couldn't have turned out better. Before i bought this costume, i only looked at the two reviews that showed and they said the costumes were running small. So i got the larger size and it was a little big. so i would say the costume fits true. It was great material and VERY comfortable! I think the costume should have came with a hat though because for the price it did not come with very many accessories. Overall this costume was really fun!"

"I ordered this last year, 2008 and I really loved the costume, I am 5'9 and 190 lbs. I ordered a large and well it was WAY too short, it fit perfectly! I just bought some Lacy shorts to wear under... my g/f went in black pants and pink shirt with suspenders and we had a BLAST I would recommend this, but be prepared to show off some booty!"

"Hi brought this as an "after hours" outfit. I found that it was EXTRA tight compared to other costumes I had purchased from here. I was a bit disapointed in regards to sizing as the costume was too tight, I got a friend to try on as well who is smaller than me and she had the same issues. i brought a large to make sure it would be loose enough but now wish i had gotten bigger.!"

"We purchased these costumes for our daughters' competition dance. They fit perfectly and the girls are able to move quite well with them. They will have to wear something underneath because the costume is cut quite low in the front but that is certainly do-able. After the first competition in the spring, we'll be able to tell if the judges liked the costume as much as we do."
"I purchased this outfit from BuyCostumes for Halloween 2008. At the time of purchase there were no reviews for this costume so I based my purchase on the reviews of other costumes. Most stated that their costumes were too small. So I opted for the Medium/Large size instead of the small/medium.
When I received my costume I found that it was too big therefore the sizes stated are correct. I'm a size 10 Australian and I now figure that the small/medium was a size 8-10 and the medium/large was a 12-14, X-Large would be size 16. Even though it was too big, it was easy to alter. I took about 7 cms off the halter neck and about 2 cms off the waist and hips.
The dress itself is definitely short. So ladies be careful bending over! Even though I bought the larger size, I thought the dress would be larger height wise, but it's not. I'm pretty short so taller ladies you may want to invest in some hot pants, bike pants or shorts to wear underneath.
I accessorized the costume with a gangster hat, pink diamante toy pistol and gangster shoes (available at Buycostumes). Because of the shade pink, it was difficult to tie in the outfit. The pink is somewhere between hot pink and pastel pink. I had a tough time finding the correct pink for my hat-band but eventually found the right pink felt.
I had a blast at Halloween! On the streets random people (people I don't know) would ask to have their photo taken with me. We had our photo taken with heaps of tourists, even though we were tourists ourselves! The amount of positive feedback on the costume was great!
It's a simple, sexy little outfit which can lend itself to a number of different looks. The outfit could also double as a school-girl or secretary outfit - without the wrist-bands. So you may get a few outfits from the one costume. Just add a little blouse underneath the dress and suddenly its a different look. That's value for money!"

"I was a little worried about how this was going to fit considering I was ordering online and didnt want to have to return it. The costume fit great! It's quite adjustable. "I bought this product for my friend and it looked great. Love that this costume is a halter top, one piece dress. The dress is pretty short and if you have a large chest you might be busting out at the top. My friend wears a bigger size and it seemed to fit true to size. The only downfall is that the costume doesn't come with the matching hat or tommy gun."
