Title: Not what I expected Date: November 2, 2007
"The first problem with this costume was the hat. It was squished down into the box for shipping purposes, but it was so floppy that it was impossible to reshape it to the form that it appeared to be in the picture if it was ever even that way to begin with. Therefore, we had to replace the hat since that is one of the most important parts of the costume. Secondly, the costume was not made all that well. By the end of the night, the buttonhole was already ripping which caused the top to keep coming unbuttoned and exposing my daughter’s midriff. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t pay that much for the costume, but when I pay decent money for something, I expect to get at least one use out of it and hopefully pass it along to someone else who may need it next Halloween. I was very disappointed in this item."

"product didn't look like the picture. The vest looks red on the picture and is actually a burgandy color. the price was too high for the material it was made out of. And the hat came all bunched up in the package and barely resembled the picture when you shaped back into place"

"My daughter LOVES this costume. I was skeptical buying sight unseen, but when it arrived it was wonderful! The sizing is very accurate, and the price is quite reasonable. I bought from BC, Canada and the shipping took only just over a week. I would definately buy from these guys again!"

"Everything was fine except the boot covers there was no elastic to hold them in place and had to pay someone to sew some on which was inconvenient. Everything else was ok my original order was cancelled due to being out of stock and once the costume was in stock I was notified thanks you"

"My daughter loves it! It runs small though - my daughter wears a street size 10-12, and the 14-16 costume fits her perfectly. It's decent fabric, and the boot covers are really cool. The hat arrived mashed, but was easy enough to re-shape."

"This outfit is really cute on my little girl. My only complaint about it is that the pants fabric is very, very thin. If you were wearing them in a cold climate you'd definitely need something under them for warmth. They are a very thin knit. The outfit is very adorable on, and overall we are glad we purchased it. "This is a cute costume--hat is a little funny--probably due to trying to ship it, need to straighten out the wires. Thin material-but your usual you find in most halloween costumes for quality. I couldn't find this in stores though and my daughter really wanted it! I think the price is way too much for the quality, but it is a cute costume."

"For the price, this costume was a major disappointment.The hat was a bent up, balled up mess that certainly did not appear to resemble any type of a pirate hat. The jacket did not have enough button holes. The pants appear black but are a poor quality, chessy, brown, paper thin, capri style. My nine year old daughter refuses to wear it. It is going back! save your money............"

"My daughter is a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, unfortunately this particular Elizabeth costume is rather hard to find. There are many Elizabeth gowns, but my daughter wants to be a pirate and the gowns/dresses are not what Jack Sparrow wears. This costume is great, my daughter loves it. We did buy it a little big, in order to fit clothes under it for chilly Halloween nights and school parades. My only complaint is the boots and the pants are not attached. The boots fall down, and the pant cuffs ride up, which is nothing a quick sew can't fix. It's a great buy!"

"First of all this costume looks nothing like the photo.
I was very disappointed in it. The color is not red on the
jacket it is dark brownish burgundy and the pants are
a carmel color. The boot covers are not black they are
brownish snakeskin type of pleather. The belt across
the chest is made as cheaply as possible it is thin
plastic with a plastic buckle.
The hat comes crushed in the package and we can't
make head nor tail out of it so we aren't using it.
When we opened it we definitely were disappointed, this is flimsy and cheap looking. Just our point of view.
With shipping I paid over $50 for this! Just not worth it."
