"Do not buy this costume. For the price, it's horrible. The entire backing is nothing buy just grey - no print at all. The material is very flimsey. The plastic "gun" arm is not made for children. It even fell off my arm. The plastic chest piece is way too small for the costume. For the price, I expected much higher quality."

Title: Poor quality and Expensive!.. But FUN Date: September 15, 2009
"I bought this costume for my 4 year old who is obsessed with Transformers. Out of the package there was already a hole in the seam of the pants--very cheap. The mask doesn't allow him to see and the plastic arm gun is cheap and doesn't stay on. We are going to have to cut holes in the mask so he can see. However, HE thinks it is the best costume ever and isn't bothered by any of the above...so I would recommend it for the "fun factor" if your child is into Transformers!"

"This is all my little boy was talking about. He's 3 1/2 and has talked about Optimus Prime ever since he saw it in one of the catalogs. The outfit itself fits him very well. The arm gun (? I guess that is what it is) is a little too big for him and the mask and body shield are a little big too, but I think we'll be able to make it work. The price here was about $5 more than other sites, but I went with Buy Costumes because their shipping was so much less that it actually ended up costing me less. Plus I was ordering my daughter's costume here because it was the only place I found it."

"My son had his heart set on being Optimus Prime for Halloween since he loved the movie so I ordered the costume for him.
The costume did arrive in timely manner but it did not look like it does in the picture. The costume looked very cheap and my son was very dissapointed. I ended up returning it and got something else."

"MY 4 YR OLD SON LOVED THIS COSTUME, IT WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE PICTURE BUT BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS IT WAS REALLY TIGHT AROUND THE EARS ON THE FACE MASK, SO I WILL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FOR HALLOWEEN AND I ALSO HAVE TO ADJUST THE BODY PIECE IT HUNG TOO LOW. "My son was so looking forward to getting his halloween costume in the mail. We checked our sons height and ordered the size 7-8 (he is only 5) The costume just fits, if it is cold halloween night he will not be able to wear sweatpants underneath, and there is no time to send back and order a bigger size. The size charts should be accurate to match the product when ordering off line!"

"I was excited when i seen the costume with extra pieces you dont normally get at a local store however for $45 bucks the pieces are very flimsy and the costume itself is very thin. "My 5 year old son has been wearing this since the package arrived last week. The body armor is pretty cool, and he spends many afternoons after school dressing up in it and making up exciting adventures.

My concern for Halloween is the eye holes in the mask are narrow, so he has some difficulty seeing. The arm armor leaves the wearer with only one free hand for trick or treating. The jumpsuit is comfortable, but the back is open (velcro closure at base of neck) so for those in cooler climates, you may want to put a sweatshirt over it."

"We bought this costume for my 8 yr old stepson. They did not have his size (large) in the stores and luckily they had it here. While he LOVES the costume I feel that we wasted our money. The entire costume is just grey fabric with the exception of the arms and front of the legs, which has a robot looking pattern on it. The chestplate wasnt big enough and the colors looked like they ran in the mold. I would have expected the back of the costume to at least be dark blue or something that would have matched, the light grey isnt a good color. I am really disappointed in the quality of the costume in its design, for $50.00 I would have expected patterns on the entire legs at least. The medium size and small had the pattern on the entire costume so I was confused when I saw this one."

"I purchased this for my son. The mask, arm piece, and chest piece are made of very flimsy thin plastic. the design on the body suit is not quite the same as pictured. There are no graphics printed on the suit under the chest piece, so it looks cheesy if it is not perfectly in place. I was very surprised by the poor quality of this. It is not at all worth the money!"
