"This dress is very cool! It fit like a glove and true to size! I wear a dress size 10 and ordered the large and it was perfect. The only issue is that the skirt part is a little see through but just wear undies that arent neon pink and u will be okay! I plan on using this costume on the 17th for a Halloween party and my husband is going as JFK and I am excited to wear it! Its gonna be fun and it is a quality item."

"I purchased this costume for my teen daughter this year for Halloween. It is a great costume, fits really well and was the perfect Marilyn look. She had a Marilyn wig as well and it turned out great. The only thing is that it is a bit flimsy and it can be seen through if you don't wear the right under things. Overall, though it was wonderful and a great price. The delivery was super fast as well. My daughter loved it and looked awesome!"

"Very cute but thin. I had to scramble to find stuff to wear under it. I also had to get a stick on bra or I would have given people an eyeful. I did get many compliments on the dress though and it washed up well."

"This costume was great! I am 5 ft and about 105 and I was worried the small would be too big. It fit in the size, but was very long (as most everything is on me!). Although, I didn't have time to hem it. (My fault, not a delay on buycostumes.com). It is shear, but I bought some good coverage underwear. I also used the idea of sewing in "levers" like one of the other reviewers did. It was a big hit! I paired it with a wig from this site."

"This dress is brilliant for anyone wanting to feel like Marilyn Monroe for a night. It will not leave people guessing who you're dressed up as, that's for sure! This dress is excellent quality and contrary to other reviews, I did not believe it was see through at all. Obviously, as it is white, you will need to choose your undergarments carefully though! The dress is true to size. I am a size 8 - 10 (Australian sizing) and I ordered a small which was perfect besides the length. I had to get it hemmed however I was not surprised being 165cm tall. The dress is not too low cut, at the front or the back and you are able to wear either a strapless or a halter neck bra with it. The service was great, I ordered the costume on a Thursday and it arrived the following Tuesday. I would definitely recommend this product!"

"This costume was the best. It fit perfectly and was just awesome. I was the belle of the ball. The material was a good quality and flowed easily. Not gaudy or light weight. I didn't even need to put on a strapless bra and/or a bra patch. The costome was basically the same thing that you saw in the picture which is not something all oneline companies can say. It was easy to accessorize (heels, pearl choker and don't forget the fur throw). I will be wearing this dress again. Might not be to a Halloween party, maybe when the weather breaks!!!!!"

"i bought this to wear on halloween night. it was awesome to dress up in! it was a little see-thru but i wore a slip underneath and a white corset,the size was good,price was great..being that it was $15 more at a halloween store."

"The dress itself, in my opinion, is only somewhat sheer on the skirt (don't wear black panties). To try it on the first time, I wore a black bra and it did not show through the bodice fabric. I am a size 16 (41"-32"-41" if it helps) but ordered the size that covers 12-14 and the costume fits like a glove. The back of the dress is very low, it comes to about my waist.
The only downside to this dress is that the bust of the dress cannot fully cover my bra cups (DD). The halter top will not hide bra straps, so it would be wise to try purchasing a bra w/ clear straps. The bra band will be visible in back.

"This is a really nice costume. It is very low cut and is very see thru at the bottom. You will need a slip and undershirt. Overall it is a really great costume. Runs pretty true to size - if big busted it will be very snug! Great price for a great costume!"

"This costume received a great response from my faculty and students on 1950s day. The dress is very sheer and needs quite a slip under it, but the pleats are just perfect. The neckline is scooped unlike the original and shows a lot of cleavage. I just wore a skin colored cami underneath. Overall an excellent buy for the price."

"this costume looks cute in the pictures but in reality is very see-through. also, the top is too small. be careful if ordering from this site close to a party - i got an email the day before it was supposed to arrive (4 days after ordering) that they were out of the wig."

"As with all costumes, this one runs small. I'm going to guess it to run about one size smaller than it claims. I ware an 8 and should have ordered the L ( size 10/12) but got the XL to be safe. Sure enough it's about two sizes too big for me. So if it says it's a 10/12 figure it's one size smaller than the smaller number.
My XL is also WAY TOO LONG. Goes down to my ankles. I'm 5' 6"
Dress looks just like the picture."
