"This is a great costume! I ordered an XL (I'm a size 14), paired it with the cutlass, a golden pirate necklace, and a pirate hat, and got many compliments. It was very comfortable, sexy, not too revealing, and was also great at hiding my post-baby gut. The bodice is easy to cinch in a way that gives an hourglass illusion. What a great buy!

**Costume details: corset has dark brown, leathery-look fabric in front, wine-colored velvet on back; wine-colored velvet skirt; red ribbon on corset. Ribbon is looped through the golden piping, and one of the loops on the bottom broke (but was easy to sew up)."

"Enjoyed one of the best Halloween parties in this costume. Was pretty good quality for the price and fit like a glove. (M = size 7/8 US) So lightweight and comfortable, I was able to dance all night long without getting too hot. Didn't have to worry about shedding layers as the night went on. Was super sexy and fun!"

"Had a costume party at work and I wore this outfit. Made the employees walk the plank with my sword. The girls loved my outfit and wig. At first they did not recognize me as I am Mgmt and not prone to act out at work. Boy did I fool them Let my hair down. Then had party at home (also my birthday) The grandkids loved it.
Tried to add the pics and are to large. Really need to increase the max size for pics. None of mine are 2MB.

"The fit was good not to tight yet not to loose ( I do have extra baggage). It was much nicer than the other so called pirate costumes that I saw. My only problem was the sleeve. It was a little to long. Overall I felt good in it."

Title: Fun costume, but didn't work for me Date: October 30, 2008
"Being descended from pirates (true) I ordered this planning on being a swashbuckling pirate girl for Halloween. Well, the costume is kind of fun, but when I put it on, I felt more like a second-rate bar wench than a pirate chick. I guess pirate chicks should wear pants. I also think, like probably many costumes, this one looks better on thinner pirates than more voluptuous ones. I'm returning it with no hard feelings.

I've changed my costume plan to be a merciless female gunslinger (with pants), but this is a fun costume and probably would work well for others. Quality is pretty good, but there's not much to it, so be prepared to be chilly if you go out on Halloween. I would definitely recommend the use of tall boots as shown in the picture, though. That helps the look quite a bit!"

"I purchased this for a party and got it. First I had to make a few adjustments though. I have a fuller top but a smaller waist and the dress fit on top but was obviously made for larger waisted women. Other then that the dress was fantastic."
