"This costume was a huge hit! I cant tell you how many people came up to me and thought it was just a riot..I did buy some extra birds and add them which made it more realistic. "I was so worried about it not fitting right, but it was the PERFECT size!!! I added my own touch ups to the outfit. I glued feathers on it and bought fake birds, instead of using the cloth ones. I also cut it up a little and added fake blood to it. I've never gotten so many compliments on a costume for originality before! I highly recommend this costume! I love this website. Its so much easier to just order a costume here, rather than going to a store, hoping they have it in stock, waiting in line, trying to get someone to help you, dealing with other customers around you, etc. It costs the same, PLUS shipping is free!"

"Absolutely loved the concept of the costume. I did read the other reviews on this costume purchase. One good, one negative. I agreed with both reviews that "the birds" need work. And took advice from the positive review to "enhance" the costume. So I purchased crows from a Hobbystore, added more stage blood to the jacket.
I wore this to a friend's annual Halloween bash. His theme was "It's the end of the world as we know it." I was voted "best costume that represented the party theme". This was the most fun I had with a costume. Received several compliments. I had to admit if I had not seen it here at buycostumes.com, I would have never come up with this idea. Still have a couple more halloween parties to wear it to this year."

"The costume is very cute and funny! Totally original! The quality is decent and the jeweled red eyes on the birds add a nice evil touch. I added a bit more blood splatter on the clothing to really make it stand out but other than that the costume is great!! I live in Canada and didnt even pay for the faster shipping and it literally arrived 4 days after i ordered it! This is the third year I've bought from BUYCOSTUMES and it's the only place I go to for all my halloween needs!!!"

My daughter at the contest
"My daughter was entering a costume contest and 3 days before the event we decided on Tippi Hedren from the birds. I searched urgently for the costume at local stores and came up empty. I turned to the internet as a last and desperate attempt knowing that the delivery time would be risky. I found the costume and the best price on buycostumes.com. Placed the order for the fastest delivery expecting to pay premium price for delivery. It wasn't bad at all. Very reasonable for 2 day delivery compared to other sellers. To my surprise the costume arrived the next day. Basically the costume arrived in less than 24 hours. My daughter and I were completely shocked. It gave us the opportunity to personalize the costume before her big contest. The costume itself was good quality except for the foam black birds. A little tacky so we bought some feather crows at a craft store and sewed them on instead. The detail of the costume was great as it had cuts and blood on one of the sleeves. The best news was my daughter was the star of the contest and won with overwhelming applause. Even got much attention from the celebrities at the event. It was truly an event my family will never forget and if it weren't for buycostumes sending us the costume so quickly, it would've never happened. Thanks again. You are now my first choice for costumes and share this story with many."

"The rips, tears, and blood were a really nice touch--but, the outfit is very cheap and was too small to fit my "perfect" size 10, not sure if the costume fits size 4-10 in juniors not in normal/average adult sizes. I had to remove the birds from the jacket and re-attach them to another suit that I had to purchase. I would suggest that it be made in adult sizes and that the headband be made in a variety of colors to match hair colors other than blond."

"Every year, I try to find the newest, most original costume to wear out with my friends. Last year, I was the Twister Game and it was awesome. When I saw this costume, I had to have it. The costume arrived in a timely manner, and was better than I expected. It fit very well and the details were great. I would have liked to see more tears and blood on the outfit, but I can take care of that myself with a pair of scissors and some fake blood. The only thing lacking with this outfit was a wig and a pair of nylons ripped up with blood stains on them. But that won't be hard to duplicate myself. I may remove the headband that the bird is on though, and attach it to the wig I got because it tends to slip off too easily. I can't wait to see what BuyCostumes comes up with next year!"

"This is a fantastic costume. But a note about sizes: I am a pear shaped 5'4" (size 4 on top, and 6 on bottom). This costume fit me perfectly, like a suit I'd wear to work! It's stretchy and would likely fit larger, but I am surprized that it says 6 - 10 on the description, I wouldn't have thought it would fit someone larger than me. The details on the dress really impress: little beak shaped rips, blood, beady red sequin eyes, so wonderful. The birds need to be reshaped a little, that's all. Bird for your head is on a beige headband. I may take it apart and pin the bird to a frech twist or something because the headband is a little obvious. If you wear fake eyelashes, pearl earrings and a teased french twist it will be perfect. Of course, it's no Designer suit lined in silk or anything like that, and considering that, it's one fine, silly, little polyester 50's suit! I don't know how they did it, I will attempt to append images to this description tomorrow. It really looks like the one in the description on this site, though a little darker in color, more army greenish, or olive. It's one of the warmer costumes you can get as a woman, so if you live in the north, I HIGHLY recommend this over one of the tiny, sexier ones, though they are a lot of fun. That's all I have to say. It was either this or the Pineapple. SHIPPING WAS WAY FASTER THAN EXPECTED"

"This costume is great.... the birds are very big, with beady red eyes. Love the ripped jacket and blood details. However, I would have liked it more if they had more sizes. The jacket is a foam material and a little on the small size. I think this may be a winner at the parties. Still having trouble finding a wig though."
