"Like one of the other reviewers, I looked around at real lab jackets for my mad scientist but wanted something with a higher creepy factor. This costume delivers! Good quality outfit with heavy rubber gloves. Sleeves and body are good lengths (long enough). If anyone is interested, a size large loosely fits the full size skeleton available on this site. He's going to be the mad scientist in our lab scene this year."

"I've had something of a mad scientist fixation lately, so when Halloween started rolling around, I knew exactly what I wanted to dress up as. The problem was finding the proper labcoat. I searched the internet quite a bit, and found many options. Real, professional labcoats, used by real doctors and scientists every day. But none of them really screamed "MAD!" That's where buycostumes.com came in. For a more realistic outfit, you should buy from a real medical supplier. This one is strictly for the theatrical. This ankle-length multi-buttoned number is not something you'll see a real scientist in, but that's sort of the point, isn't it? The gloves are an indispensable detail, and I was very pleased to find them included. They are over-sized and rubbery. I wouldn't be surprised if they are actual lab safety gloves.
I did have a couple problems with this outfit, however. First of all, while the labcoat fits fine, the belt is impossible for me to wear. If you are a bit on the large side, don't count on the belt being an essential part of your ensemble. Secondly, one of the gloves is discolored. While the left glove is pure black, the right one appears to be covered in white powder. Unfortunately, it does not wash off so I can only conclude it is some sort of flaw in the material.
All in all, despite these flaws, I am quite satisfied with my purchase."

Title: Well made overall, but a few issues

"I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase, but there are a few things I'd like to mention. First, I bought a large because I'm a 44. The costume fits well in the shoulders, but is loose through the chest. However, the bottom half is loose enough to move around, and it reaches almost to my ankles (I'm 6'2"). Second, the collar is very loose. The costume only appears to button up the front, but it actually ties behind the neck. That's not a huge problem, but I ended up cutting the ties off and attaching velcro to the neck. Finally, like the collar, the arms are loose. I put velcro to tighten the arm-holes so that the sleeves would not fall out of the gloves when moving around.
"The material looked great! I ordered the XL & the coat fit comfortably. However, the belt is a bit snug. I might have to add some velcro to let it out a little or (Gasp!) loose some weight! :-o"
