"This pirates costume is perfect. Although I'm only 5'4'' so it was a little too long but nothing that cant be fixed. I also bought it a size bigger then I usualy take so I bought the 8-10 because I"m a six. It's a little big in the stomach area but again noting that cant be fixed with a little sowing. It's also good quality there arent any extra strings hanging off or anything...So over all i'm really satasfied!"

"I ordered this costume and was disappointed. I have ordered several items from this website and have been nothing but thrilled. This particular item was not up to par. The hat was a complete mess, and the outfit was VERY short and not flattering at all. I am usually a 3-5 but this was extremely small. I returned it for the elite pirate wench that is INCREDIBLE. Worth every penny. I will buy again for this website but will stick to the elite line. Last year I had the Witch costume from the wizard of oz, also from the elite line. It was soooo nice. Will wear it every year to hand out candy. People were amazed by it."

I tried another company a friend told me about and the costume I ordered did not fit per their size guide,,,I had to pay $10.00 to ship it back and they charged a 15% restocking fee. "Very pretty costume, the embelishments are very pretty. The fit was somewhat akward though. I am 5'5" and 110 pounds. The skirt was very short, but just wore some short shorts under it incase of wind. The waist sat very high, and i don't have an especially long torso. Because of that, it bunched and made me look wide in the mid-section. If you were a little shorter or very short torso'd and needed the 2-8 for the higher end of the sizes, I think it would fit great. It just seemed to ride up a lot due the the elastic waist. Was a good value as it came with the hat, and the hat was very cute! Would definitely recommend for someone with different body proportions than myself. I did end up wearing it anyway for Halloween and got lots of compliments."

"I bought two of these costumes for two hostesses to wear at a work function. The gals looked great, sexy without being to over the top. The costumes are very good quality and fit well without much alteration. Both ladies purchased their own boots for the costumes which enhanced the "pirate look." Swords shown in the photo are a must too."

"I am a size 4 but I am 5' 6". This 4-8 sized costume was created for someone much shorter. The elastic that attatches the black 'skirt' to the brown 'shirt' hit me in the ribs. It looked 'thick' on me and if I sat down, there was no chance of me sitting on any of the skirt. In short the distance between the shoulders and the skirt was entirely too short. I had to cut the skirt off (it barely covered my bottom), tucked what was left of it into a pair of pants and covered the bunchiness of the elastic with a WIDE belt left over from the 1980's. I made it work, but for the price, I would have liked somethig that fit."

"I got the costume and the hat does not look like the picture nor does it fit like the picture... the costume was a uni-body suit and did not look good even though I am 5'4 and 106 lbs...and you have to provide all the accessories...."

"I received my costume today! 2 days did the premium shipment as I didn't want to chance so close to Halloween. I was pleasantly please, its very nice. can't wait til the 31st. I went with M/L, I'm more of a medium since previous other reviews mentioned the costumes fitting on the smaller size I wanted to be safe and it always better to be a little bit bigger than too small. I would recommend this. Its very pretty."

ARRRGGG!!

"I bought this costume because it came with the hat as well as the dress, most other costumes didn't include the hat, which would cost another roughly $30. I did alot of accessorizing on my own and it looked GREAT!! I wasn't comfortable, however with the skirt length so I altered it to look like a sash and wore a pair of black drape capris, everybody at the party said my costume was the BEST one there, and that makes me happy, because it was alot of work!! I would highly recomend this costume!! I know I will use it again in the future!"

"This costume is actually better than I expected. The body is almost entirely velvet, and the lace has gold shimmer that is not really visible on the picture. The fact that it comes with the hat makes it a great value. Overall a great purchase."
