"I was quite pleased overall with this costume, as the colors and drape of the material seemed to be righteous. I wish I had noticed the Plus Size Jesus costume for sale when I got this because I'm about 245 lbs and it was snug around the mid section and actually a little revealing for my tastes. But I just told friends who asked that it was a Naughty Jesus costume and everyone was cool with that. The crown of thorns was very realistic molded rubber (same as the original one?) and the wig, while a little warm, was nice also. My only real complaint was the beard...what's up with that? It has like 20 yards of curled rayon clinging to your face, so trying to do whiskey shooters with this thing on will lose you half the go- juice just through wicking action. And to my knowledge, Jesus didn't wear a handlebar mustache. I mean, if I wanted to go as Freddie Mercury I would have rented that costume. I know it seems nit picky but I was really looking forward to a no-hassle experience with this, and between my slurred speech from trying to talk with half my beard in my mouth and a four pound mustache pulling my top lip down so I look like I'm doing a Roman Polanski impersonation, it wasn't nearly as much fun wearing this outfit as I thought it would be. That's why I gave it a low fun factor rating. But if a lot of fur on your face floats your boat, run with it."

"The fake beard that came with the costume was absolutely ridiculous. It was way longer and bushier than you'd expect it to be. The wig, on the other hand, was surprisingly short. They were both of decent quality as far as cheap costume wigs go, just not particularly Jesus-like.
The crown of thorns was made of some kind of semi-malleable hard rubber-like material and incredibly small, as if designed for a small child. There was absolutely no way it was going to fit over my head. I do have a larger than average hat size, but I can't imagine any fully-grown adult being able to wear it at forehead-level like the model in the product picture.
The costume itself was good quality, well-made and of a durable fabric, and it fit fairly well. The model in the picture must be fairly short for the robe to reach all the way to his feet; I'm six feet tall, and the robe ended a couple of inches above my ankles.
All in all, the price is worth it for the costume itself, which was fun to wear and well-made, but you might want to find a different beard, wig, and crown of thorns."

"So despite the description explicitly stating that the wig and beard are not included, they are. I was wondering about that because I saw the same costume on other sites and they were included but not from this site. I actually spent another $30 to order a wig and beard (from another company because buycostumes was sold out). So now I have 2 sets of wig and beard. :( Other than that, it's a decent costume."
