Title: Not all they're cracked up to be

"The fangs looked realistic and blended with the color of my tooth enamel (not *too* white), but the bonding paste that you mix and use to adhere to your teeth was lacking. According to the directions, you're supposed to fill each fang with the paste, slide it onto your tooth, move it into the position you desire, and then hold it there for about 20 minutes for it to harden. After that amount of time, you can remove it and should be able to slide it back over the tooth again and again for multiple uses. I tried that twice with each fang and no-go. I even tried Polydent (denture adhesive), but it wouldn't work.
After talking with a friend who used these a few years ago, her advice was to stick them in and leave them in - which I did. One fang did end up coming off during the evening, but I managed to find a Starburst candy and gum up a small piece and put inside to re-adhere it to my tooth. I had to do that twice more through the evening. The upshot of these fangs was that everyone kept complimenting me all night saying how real they looked.
I've read that some people have had better luck, but at least know what the possible problems may be ahead of time. My advice: pop them in to mold to the teeth the first time, leave them in, and cross your fingers that they stay in all night. AndiIt doesn't hurt to bring a Starburst candy with you in case of emergency."

"These were a great accessory for my vampire queen costume. It took a few more minutes to fit them than I expected -- and the adhesive is quite smelly! -- but overall it was definitely worthwhile. They are a bit expensive if you're only going to wear them once, but if you're a real vampire fan, definitely invest in these!"

"First off, Scarecrow fangs are the best out there! But I was even more excited about the new small cut.
I've had friends that gotten the regular ones and it either jabbed the inside of their mouth while closed or it was hard for them to talk. These did neither of those. I could talk easily, there was no drooling and they actually stayed on!
I was so scared I wouldn't get the mold right, but honestly, if you follow the directions like it says, there will be no problems.
It was definitely a hit! My work we could dress up and I just wore my fangs. I had a lot of people ask me if I had gotten my teeth shaved to be like that. HILARIOUS!
I would definitely recommend these. They're the best!"

"These fangs are brilliant. I bought a set of these for myself and a different (cheaper) brand for my husband, with the other brand we are still waiting for the putty to dry. The Scarecrow fangs are so easy to use and so brilliant that I didn't bother with the other set, and purchased a second set of these fangs for my husband. I found that the size for me could have been a pinch smaller, but I am still thrilled with the look and my husband is thrilled with his as well. "These fangs are so realistic looking and fit great. You must follow the instructions to a "t". I used Crest Whitestrips in early September, and the fangs were a little bit yellower than my teeth, but it wasn't too bad. They were definitely the hit of the party!"

"These teeth are very simple to 'set up' and fit just as well as the description says. If I had any complaints, it would be that the liquid has a strong smell, but that is minor. The fangs look great and should work for a good while without need to recast."
