"This outfit definately runs large. I am a size 16, and the X-large fell off of me. The material is crushed velvet and would be very cute if it fit. the top was kind of a pain with all the ties, but it allows for a custom fit."

Title: Didn't fit, top was disappointing. Date: October 17, 2008
"Knowing that most Halloween costumes run small, I did alot of research, and after reading the reviews, decided to go down a size. The skirt is beautiful quality. Crushed velvet with a thick gauze under-skirt. The top is made out of the same material they make fake doll velvet from. They really spent all the money on the skirt. The ribbons were so firm they wouldn't stay tied for the few minutes I spent just trying it on. I was afraid to move in the top, for fear of tearing it. I am very top-heavy, and typically wear a 22-24 top and a 16 pant/skirt. I bought the 2X to ensure the top would fit. The skirt literally fell off me. A belt added looked awful. The top was huge, and the way it's made would have forced me to wear a corset with it to balance my chest, and keep it from exposing my lower back."

Title: didn't fit, but liked it a lot Date: September 27, 2008
"i tried this on & returned; i ordered a few costumes & could only afford to keep 1, plus i ordered the 3x & both vest & skirt were large; 2x would've been better. i usu wear sz 22 & hv ample bosom. the other review said skirt & vest were diff colors, but they were typical of colors worn in the period & i thot they were pretty. vest is a soft pseudo-suede & would be warm on a cool renfest day (too warm for me if i wear my cloak). skirt had ample room; too large for me & no way to adjust (drawstring, etc.). this would be very flattering if i'd had the rt sz."

"I wear a 16 and the XXL was way too big. (the top was big and the skirt was huge) I felt the quality of the outfit was good, but the top and skirt do not match each other. The top is dark blue and the skirt is purple. The costume does match perfectly with the Adult Male Three Musketeer costume. I would only purchase this if you plan to go as a couple and make sure you buy a size smaller."

Title: would not purchase again Date: October 23, 2007
"The skirt fits well.
The Top is not a good fit at all -- its a lower quality than the skirt and does not seem to have been given much thought when placing the items as a matching outfit. Plus the top is blueish and the bottom purple.
I now need to buy a top for the skirt and hope i can get it before my party on Oct 31st."
