"By far, this witch costume is the best I've ever encountered! It comes nicely packaged, on a hanger in a suit bag, with a pocket inside the bag to place accessories. There is netting inside where the sleeve meets the shoulder seam, which I need to cover, as it is a bit scratchy. Also, I recommend that you buy it one size larger than you ordinarily wear. But, the look is tops. It is so ME! I anticipate being able to use this costume for many years, both at Halloween and Fasching (German equivalent of Mardi Gras). My debut was at our office Halloween festivities. Employees are encouraged to bring their children in the afternoon for safe 'Trick-orTreating,' and staff members may choose to participate if they wish. (Halloween is starting to catch on in Germany, but is not as I remember it in my youth!) My boss passed me in the hallway and had no clue it was me. I was voted 'scariest' by my co-workers--a title I've sought for many years at work!!"

"I have dressed up over the years using a black dress with a jacket and a hat from the local store. A group of girls from the office decided to do the Wizzard of OZ theme and enter a contest with our County. Not only did everyone think I had the best Witch costume, the children thought I really was the real witch from OZ. I got the shoes and make-up also. The cape that comes with the costume makes the dress look so good with it's bright green lining. I am 64 years old, am told i don't look my age, but I have dressed up for halloween all my life. At first I thought the price was a little high, however, once it came and I saw the workmenship, I was amazed that I had paid so little for the quality of work that went into this garmet. I will be able to use this for years to come."

"I loved this costume, and had a great reaction to it, however, I had to order three of these costumes to finally get one that fit. I normally wear a 14/16 on top, and a 12/14 on bottom. I have a larger chest, which was one of the problems. I first ordered an XL, then a 1X and finally the 2X. The costume is itchy on the inside, but I wore a long sleeved shirt underneath and was fine. I am 5'7" and loved the length as it brushed the ground. I scared so many children, including a few of my first graders. They absolutely loved it. Overall, this was a great costume. Make sure to check the sizing chart before you purchase, otherwise you can spend upwards of $40 to ship back costumes that do not fit."

"Found this web site for halloween shopping. as skittish at first being a fuller -figure lady. But, I was so pleased with the selection of costumes. This wicked witch was great. I received lots of compliments. But, the only problem was the tulle in the shoulders. It was itchy. Otherwise it was perfect. Everything you needed was enclosed except make-up. So you didn't have to run around looking for the finishing touches.And it came in a garment bag that was a plus. I will be returning to this website for all future purchases. Also, shipping was fast."

"I love this costume overall. It seems to be great quality and it is fun. The only criticisms I have are that the hat is too small for an adult. Also I ended up with red scratches on both shoulders because the inside of the puff sleeve at the seam was really sharp! And that was only after wearing it for a few hours. So basically the second time i wore the costume I stuffed fabric under the seams to avoid this. Other than that it is a great buy."

"I am not kidding - I have worked in theater and this is the greatest costume that I have ever purchased. I was a bit nervous ordering on line because I am picky about quality but I was really satified with the quality of this costume. I would recommend this very comfortable costume to anyone who is looking for a professional nice fitting great costume. It looked like I had made it myslef and had it fitted professionally. It comes with a crenilan slip that really puts the finishing touch on an already fabulous look. I wish that the hat would have had a strap because any little breeze comes up and catches it and whips it off of your head so I have sewn a couple of black ribbons on it. Looks great and I love this item."

"I was impressed the minute I opened the box! The costume came in a garment bag which makes it a breeze to take with you and store. The dress fits true to size. The only issue I had with the dress was the tulle in the shoulders. Very scratchy! I needed to cover them in order to wear it. The tulle petticoat was a nice touch to the full length dress. Just enough to fill it out. The cape lined with satin is beautiful. The hat fit well and I lightly pinned the tulle on to keep it in place. I chose not wear the black press on nails. Note: When I received the costume it was missing the tulle sash for the hat and the black finger nails. One phone call to buycostumes.com and they shipped it out immediately. When you add green face paint to your face and hands it really completes the look. I can't wait to "recycle" this one again!"

"Wow! What a great costume! I love to spend a little more on a quality costume that I can wear multiple times over the years. The fit and look of this one excellent and I love the punch of green the cape adds. To help with sizing, I ordered the large and it fits perfectly on my size 12 body. The hat is a bit tight for my big head but its doable. There are some stray threads on the dress but those are easily trimmed. If you are looking for a true Wicked Witch costume inspired by the movie, this is the one to get."

"I've been every character of the wizard of OZ except the wicked witch and Dorothy. So I bought this costume for a party this year. I was very pleased with everything but the hat. As in the other reviews, the hat is more for a child size head. But the costume was a great hit. I also purchased the witch makeup kit. Everyone freaked out trying to figure out if it was a mask or my own face. The costume was very comfortable. I did not get hot wearing it. It was true to size. I'm 5'9" and the length was perfect. I would recommend this to everyone wanting a quality costume that will last for years to come. It also came in a nice hangup bag."

"I bought this costume because of the ratings. It is everything they said. Very good quality, and true to form. I normally wear a medium but ordered a large, just in case. It fits perfectly. A bit long but works well with heels. I would recomend this witch for everything from theater, to costume contests. The crinoline is not attached to the dress, so if you do not care for it, you can leave it off. Also the tulle for the hat is not attached, so you can be more creative with it. The cape is wonderful, and if you remove the tags you could reverse it if you wanted. I can't wait to wear it to our costume contest at work!!!!!"
