"well when i received this product i was excited because its friggen batman dude he rules, anyway when i took it out of package first thing i tried on was the mask and it was huge like the other comments said but i wasn't going to spend more money and wait for it to ship to buy the other mask so what i did was i bought some thick foam sponges and cut them to fit in and around the mask to have the mask fit tighter on my face and i used Velcro to hold them in place and it worked i also used expanding foam and filled the bat ears with it so they wouldn't flop around. when i tried the chest on it fit pretty good but they only had a small Velcro strap holding the middle so i got more industrial Velcro and stuck it all along the back and the chest fit so much better and more firm. for the gloves very huge need giant hands to fit so i had a pair of work gloves i just wore underneath and it fit awesome. for the legs it covers the front of your thighs and has string that u tie around your waist and legs so instead of that brought the Velcro back in and got the Velcro to hold it in place instead of the strings stuck it right to the pants they send you. The boot covers well i had my old pair of work boots that i wore and they kept popping of and looked kinda stupid so i place Velcro around my work boot and on the boot covers and now it stays there like a real boot looks awesome. the cape you get is probably the sickest thing feels pretty durable and the bat wing hem is really cool it has rods at the bottom for weight and to keep its bat wing hem shape. other then the little bit of work i had to do this costume is pretty cool."

"I bought the costume and also the extra batman mask which is sold separately. I bought the extra mask due to another persons review. It turns out there was no need to buy the extra mask as the costume mask was superior and fit better. To help with perspective, I'm 5'-10" with a fit build (185lbs) and I bought the Regular size costume. The Regular Sized costume really would fit someone 6'-2" that weighs somewhere around 225 lbs. This costume requires EXTENSIVE modification to look really good. I bought a 25' roll of industrial strength velcro from Home Depot and used all of it to make this costume fit right. I did all the modifications that others discuss. Total time required, about 10 hours of modification. A few things I did that really helped. 1) slice the center of the back of the mask up to the ears, cut a dime sized circle, add velcro and then the face mask was able to be pulled snug on my head by overlapping one side over the other. 2) I put lots of holes in the mast and body suit in strategic locations to allow better airflow, I cut the eyes larger and the nostrils larger. I cut 8 2" diameter circles in the back of the body suit. 3) I just wore a black t' shirt and used black latex paint to paint my arms between the body suit and the gauntlets. I wore the costume for 4 hours out at a club with thousands of people. I danced for hours and was fine with the heat level. I was Batman that night! Very impressive costume. Check your delivery carefully to ensure all the components are included, I had several pieces missing but they were overnighted to me by BuyCostumes.com. Great customer service followup."

"At first when you put this on you will be a little disappointed but honestly i think the gloves, boots and mask are a huge because there meant to be altered. I went out in bought some plain black gloves and then cut off the hand part and cut the gloves down the middle. I put velcro on Them then did some trimming on the boots to get rid of the over hang at the bottom. Then i used double sided tape to secure the covers to my shoes. I added some more velcro to the back of the chest piece to make it tighter. I also cut the feet of the pants to make it more comfortable. The cape is awesome. I bought the other mask off here. The one that comes with the outfit is huge and cant be alterd without destroying it. unless you have a huge alien head buy the other one its better, smaller and can be modified. I also bought some black face paint to put around my eye lids so when the mask is on it looks more like the movie batman. Over all with a few hours work this costume is awesome when you put it on you just wanna go walk into wal-mart just to turn heads. I went on my front porch and somebody almost hit a curb around a turn cause he was staring at me lol. Def worth the money. Think about it you will have a costume you can wear year after year and it will never get old. Its one of those costumes that people expect you wear each and every Halloween."

"This is a great costume, about as authentic as you are going to get. Probably a little too pricey for the quality you get, but once all assembled you are looking pretty darn good.
Major issues:
1)like others have said, mask is way too big, get the other mask also offered here on this site 2) gloves/gauntlets are huuuuge. I have a pair of black motorcycle gloves, so what I did was I literally cut the hand part off the gauntlets, and just slipped my own gloved hand through the "arm guards." Looks and fits much better. I also cut the arm guards and cut the excess laytex off to make them tighter around my forearm and velcroed the halves together. (I of course modified it on my own, no instructions for adjustments come with the suit) 3) the boot covers are cool until you get to the feet, then it looks like a frankenstein monster shoe. I bought the separate black boots from this site as well and used a combo of the two. But you are going to have to do something with the bottom foot part, otherwise they are way too big. 4) the parts are kind of cheesy by themselves, but do look great in the end 5) suit is hot, you will start getting very warm. Instead of the tight black skin shirt you get with the costume, go to a sports store and get one of those black underarmour shirts, you will be glad you did. Cant tell the difference at night and a lot cooler on you. 6) if you stuff the points on the gauntlets/arm guards with some kind of foam they will stick out better. 6) when assembled all together (and you will need help with it) you will have one of the best costumes at any party. If you wear it stock it may still be cool, but you will not look taylored, but that is personal preference. Just don't get this on the night before halloween and expect it to fit perfectly."

"Do not! Do not! I mean, do not buy this product! If you want to waste $450 then go and flush it down the toilet! It would be a much better investment. Mask looks more like an alien head off of "Mars Attacks", the chest is impossible to get on unless you have some help, chest is nothing but a very shabby front cover that barely covers your chest, leg piece (or should I call them upper thigh covering with no rear covering chaps) cover nothing but your thigh and leaving you all types of exposed in the back, belt is nothing but a very thin piece of rubber... and the list goes on and on. Useless and worthless.
So if you have the head the size of a basketball, built like a world champ body builder, don't care about your rear being all exposed, and just plain have $450 you just don't want anymore, then buy this product."

"I bought this to pose as Batman for my nephews birthday party. I read previous reviews and people warned against the large cowl (head peice) VERY TRUE. The head is HUGE. I took the advice and ordered a second cowl for 29.99 and it was great quality (better imo) and it fit perfect. I normally wear a 7 1/4 baseball hat btw.
Overall costume is great, I did buy the black superhero boots and teh upgraded belt to complete the look. I used the boot tops over the black superhero boots sold seperately and the look was perfect. The belt upgrade is a MUST. The cape on this costume is simply awesome.
It is quite hot so I don't recommend wearing outside on hot day as I did but inside in a/c is much better! Best to wear a sweatband of some kind under cowl to prevent sweat running down your face.
My sister had also paid a spiderman to be at the party and the quality of this costume put his to SHAME. If you are looking for a bar none best Batman costme off the shelf this is it.

"I got my costume about an hour ago, and boy am I upset. I opened the box and immediately I was dissapointed. The Latex smells strange, not only that but it was so tightly packed that it STUCK together like glue. I dont want to rant on and on, but if your contemplating spending $400 on a costume this is not the one. The photo here is so deceiving."

"While the costume itself is great , The quality of the fabric is nicely comfortable, the latex body armor is good too, I think that if one is going too wear this suit for prolong amounts of time one may consider using different type is tie backs for the trunk armor ,or even add you own velcro. the cape is great as is all the latex body parts, The mask however is dissapointingly too large ,unless one wants too wear a helmet or wrap their head in TP . if you have any other batman mask (of the latex over your head type, you may want too consider using that one instead ."

"Overall this costume is very nice and you get what you paid for, more or less. The picture provided is somewhat decieving, but the greater part of this costume is great.
BUT: The costume has a few critical faults that are not obvious.
1) The cowl is split at the neck but has no method of closing it ie: velcro on the inside of the split,( I have another one with this feature bought seperately)
2) The chest piece, although very nice and detailed, lacks a proper closing device, as it is slpit along the spine. (I've bought a 24" zipper to close it properly, size of zipper may vary mine's for a medium)
Other minor issues:
3) The Gloves are massive! They are approximately 8" around at the cuffs and unless you have massive forearms, you'll swim in them.
4) This costume comes with NO CAPE!!!
5) The legging/pelvic cover is more like a pair of chaps, covering only the front 2/3 of your body.
This costume is still very nice, but if your going to spend the money, be prepared to do some modifications in order to attain a propper fit, and style, and don't forget your own cape."
