Title: sizing issue fixed. med not big!!

"I took other reviewers advice and ordered the medium for my 10 year old. He was so sad when the costume was about 3 inches below his shoulders. He's about 55 inches tall. He was so disappointed, that is why I gave it a low comfort and fun rating. He thought the mask difficult to see out of, but wanted to keep it!
The return is convenient but that's still $7. we'll be going to the store to get the right fit.
Other items from the website have been great."

Title: Don't waste your money

"I got this costume for my son last year. The helmet comes in two pieces, front and back, and velcros together. It is made of a thin sort of cardboard material which shatters/breaks when dropped like most 6 year olds do. The velcro tabs came off too. The belt was even too big for my waist and for my husbands! We had to have it altered to fit and almost half of the belt removed! Also, there was NO fastner on the back of the costume, NO button, ties, velcro, or zipper. Just open like a hospital gown. We also had to have a zipper put in. The cool looking panels on the front easily tear off if pulled. They are made of a foam material. If you get this costume, be prepared to do several alterations and not to get much wear out of it!"

"I was a little concerned about what size to order since they said the belts ran bigger then the costumes should entail. When we got the costume the helmet was my son's favorite part, because it was actually a helmet (two plastic pieces velcro-ed together to wear), so it was better then a mask. The belt is tied in the back, so there was no issue about size and it stays really well. The pants come down in to shoe covers so it makes it a complete costume from head to toe. Since there is a zero-weapons policy at his school and the extra stuff just gets in the way at parties and trick-or-treating we didn't bother with the gun. He's content to use his regular toys when wearing the costume for play. Really liked the whole set up. It was a little more then I was willing to pay, but he's happy with it and it a good quailty."

"My kid likes this costume but unfortunately the belt didn't fit. I had to put velco that would fit him. The helmet is kind of blur for the kid to see."

"My son has put the helmet and or full costume on every day since it came in the mail. We had looked at a 'cheaper' costume of Commander Cody and this one was definately worth the difference in price. Both my sons think the helmet is realistic; it is shaped to cover entire head as 360 (NOT a frontal plastic facial cover with elastic band and your hair showing in back). The deluxe costume helmet is two pieces and fastens together to appear as one piece with hidden velcro. I might add that YES the deluxe helmets actually stay put together even when two boys blast away palying clone wars!! The jumpsuit has shaped pads that stand out and give it a much more realistic look than the cheaper screenprinted jumpsuit. Negatives to this costume: Mask may be hard to see out of at night and belt was quite large. I'll be able to work with it, but diameter of was so large it would fall off my son's hips even when velcroed as tight as possible. This may be unique to this specific order as my other son ordered Special Edition Deluxe Storm Trooper (same size) and his fit both boys perfectly. I ordered a Medium; my son is 9 y/o; tall to average height and 72 lbs. My other 10 y/o son can also fit into the medium but just barely. We originally had large size but it seemed to long. We purchased the clone blaster online (local stores are sold out) and the strom trooper gloves to complete outfit(s). With clone wars movie out and halloween this makes for great imaginative play, birthday party and halloween costume."

"I ordered a large for my 8 year old son - who wears a size 8 clothing - and it was too small - barely long enough and large enough to fit over his clothing. He was crushed. After reading the reviews, I'm thinking I should order a medium!!"

Title: Buyer Beware

"After much searching, we decided on this costume for my 8 year old boy. He was so excited to get it. First we received the Medium size because he is over 50 inches etc.. and the description says it is for 8 year olds. The costume came and was so big, I could fit into it, and I am 5 ft. 10 inches! The yellow shoulder pads stick out like little wings and look really funny too. So we ordered the next size down, Small. You'd think it would fit, but no...it will only fit a 5 year old or younger, but for some reason the belt is huge!
This was extremely disappointing as we had waited for weeks for both to come. We are back to square one and ordering a new costume from a different company."

"Buycostume.com had the cheapest price on this item by $10 and they shipped it lickety split!

When we compared the cheaper Comander Codi to the delux with the two sided helmet I expected chunky plastic like the Darth Vader last year. We were disapointed to find the helmet made of the thin flexable plastic that will never last past Halloween. Other than that material, the rest of the costume is of a decent quality. The velcro that holds the helmet's front and back together has metal rivets."

Title: A bit disappointing

"The "jumpsuit" part of the costume is great. Much higher quality than an inexpensive costume. The belt however is huge! It would fit an average adult. The belt also had a small tear in it. Because the belt is made of rubber it makes tailoring it a bit different. At this point I'm not sure how I will do it... adding more velcro is a possibility. Another disappointment is the helmet that is imade in two pieces that are supposed to come together with velcro.The velcro is very cheap and I can tell already that just a few times of putting it together and taking it apart will make the velcro useless. I also bought the Rex costume for my younger son and the same problems exist with the belt and helmet."

"My son has barely taken this off since it's arrival on Saturday. Product arrived before stated arrival date. Only issue with the product is belt is way to big for child. We are holding it in place with paper clips. Hence 3 stars for quality. Aside from that very pleased"
