"Thank you to a previous reviewer who suggested using spirit gum. The elastics simply did not work for me. They kept pulling the ears off my ears, as well as putting enough pressure on them that the edge of the plastic rubbed uncomfortably on my ears. I finally pulled the elastics out (easy enough to do) and simply fixed them on with spirit gum.
Another hint: if you wear a wig, be careful with your placement of the hair in front and behind the ears, so as not to add extra weight on the ears, making them more difficult to remain where you want them.
The makeup is a cream-sort and can easily be blended on the skin. This is a good thing because I am not a good make-up artist, so it was very forgiving. I used it just for general tinting, rather than defined marks."

Title: Good Product - Hard to Apply!

"I bought this product for a Halloween costume, and it needed to be shipped to Australia. The shipping options and price was ridiculous - there's only one type of shipping to Australia, which I think is called Premium or Express. It cost me $50 + just for it to be shipped here in 10 days.
Moving on from shipping costs, the product itself was good quality. It was well painted and the shape was just right - just like real Night Elf ears.
I had a few problems with the ears though. On each ear, they have thin back elastics. They're meant to go over your real ears to support the fake ears. Firstly, they don't support the ears at all, as they flop off, even if you open up the bottom of of the ear and force the top half of your ear inside!
Secondly, the top black elastic has to go over your forehead, or more so, over your eyes and the bridge of your nose. Using the black elastics to keep the ears in place looked silly and didn't keep them in place at all, so I had to turn to buying Spirit Gum (body glue) and Spirit Gum Remover to keep the ears on. Additionally, I had to actually sew the mid section of the ears to my wig cap (I was wearing a wig with my costume) to stop them from falling off.
The ears also have a small opening at the bottom to put your ear in, but the openings on mine were almost completely covered in latex.
I went to a Halloween party with my costume complete, but I had trouble dancing as the ears felt heavy on my real ears and still flopped around a lot! So I had to hold onto them with both hands as I danced, which looked pretty weird! :P It got too painful to keep the ears on for more than an hour, so I tried to remove them. It took a while with all of that Spirit Gum and it also being sewed on! My real ears were very red and hurt for about 3 hours after taking the fake ears off.
In conclusion, The ears themselves were good, application was very tricky, but they looked really great with the completed costume!"

"These ears are a lot of fun to wear, specially for cosplay. I loved the size of them, but didn't quite like the string attatchment that comes with it (was just a bit unconfortable and difficult to get your hair looking right). Will probably be getting some spirit gum to put them on when I go to out this halloween. They even bounce a little when you walk which I think is really cute.
5 stars from me!"

"I work in an Indian gaming as a table games dealer. There are alot of us there that play WOW and i wanted to be a night elf. I searched costume stores but they were all out. So i went online. BuyCostumes was the only one with the ears in stock and they also had the best price. I got my ears the day before Halloween. Had some problems with the strings so i got some spirit gum and glued them on. It worked great. the only problem i had was the eyebrows. That is the next product you should add, Night Elf Brows!!!!! "I wanted to be a night elf for halloween - the icing on the cake are the Night elf ears.....so unfortunately I ordered them from a different vendor....the next day after they said I successfully ordered them, I called them on the status - they THEN told me they were out of stock - I was sooooo upset!!!! I had two days until the halloween party and NO EARS!! - I found buycostumes.com and they saved my costume!!! They were FAST - the quality is GREAT - and I had the time of my life being my night elf for halloween...Thank you buy costumes.com!!!!"

"I have got to say the shipping was excellent, I got the 2 day delivery guaranteed by the 29th and it showed up before 9am I was really impressed. The ears are not too bad. They are definitely well made, although they are not as big as the picture shows, and not as detailed. But over all for the price it was for sure worth buying. Too bad my hair is covering up most of the ears.
"I ordered 2 pair of these in September. They were ordered on a Friday and were delivered by Tuesday (weren't due to deliver until the following Friday). My husband, his best friend and I all play wow and love the game. A girl we had become good friends with flew up and met us for vacation. I ordered these for us. It was fun just to try them on and take a few goofy pictures. One of the elastic straps was not attached in the same spot as on the other ear. This caused them to be uneven. It was a simple fix though. Just had to punch a new hole through and make the straps even."

"I bought these for halloween to go as what else... an elf. They are made very well out of latex and include an already attached elastic cord. The instructions don't tell you how to wear them but to answer the previous posters question, you put the bottom cord under your chin and against your throat and the top cord rests on the top of your head. Then you slip the top of your ears into the cut out holes provided and they stay on quite securley. If you wear a long wig or already have long hair it helps keep the ears on even better. The make up included is kinda cheap and more suited for kids then adults. Also there is no instructions for how to do the makeup whatsoever so your on your own there."

"I'm very pleased with this set overall. My only critisism is that the instructions leave you kind of hanging as far as actually wearing the ears. Sounds too easy to need instructions, but I've been having some issues trying. On the inside of the prostetic is a hole that I"m assuming you put your ear in, otherwise they are simply not steady enough for wear. I say assuming, because I can't get my ear to fit in the hole, and, with no instructions, I"m not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Aside from that though, this is a great, durable product. I'm looking forward to breaking them out at Halloween"
