"Other reviewers seemed happy with this shield, so I thought it would be a great item - but we were VERY disappointed as it is made from a very thin sheet of moulded plastic, and definitely not suitable for use even as a pretend shield/ prop. I'm not sure why they would call it "deluxe" in the description - however I do agree with them saying it is "lightweight". I'm afraid we'll be returning it. I am still a very faithful buycostumes.com customer and have been very pleased with other purchases."

"It was a good value shield. Light, hits-resistant (which was absolutely necessary), fun to play with. The only con is that it is too big for children (it completely covered my 4-year old, who seemed to enjoy it), but if you want something to "protect" them, this shield is the one!"

"Sheild was light weight and easy to handle. It is not intended for small people. I bought it for my three year old it was almost as big as him. It worked perfect for my friend as we went as evil queen, evil heir, and evil knight. This was an excellent prop."
