"I bought this costume for my 5 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it!! I had to buy some under clothes for it though because it's a bit itchy in the waist and skirt. Quality is good, better then most halloween costumes. She got some great compliments!!"

"11/14/08 I wanted to order my 7 year old the Dorothy costume with the sequins but she wanted this one because it is more like the one Dorothy actually wore. She loved it and received many compliments. We had to get the matching shoes and Toto purse basket...the purse basket has to be stuffed with tissue or newspaper to fill it out. You will probably have to tack up the straps as they were long on my daughter but this can easily done with safety pins or if you can sew unlike me. She also had to wear a white under shirt. I think she might be able to wear this again next year since the straps are long. Great costume."

"My daughter received many compliments on this costume. However, the included bow was chintzy, so I went and bought blue ribbon for her hair braids and the gingham straps were too big so I had to pin them to the blouse but overall a nice costume and the skirt is long enough to be appropriate."

"This is a better quality "old fashioned" costume that seems to cover up my daughter more than the other Dorothy options. In other words-8 year olds don't need to be sexy."

"My daughter has recently discovered the Wizard of Oz, and ever since, has only talked about being Dorothy for Halloween. Having checked other outlet stores, and not finding any Dorothy costumes that seemed very realistic to the movie, the one I purchased from BuyCostumes was the best, and had the best rice tag also. My daughter loves it, and it is well made and looks great. I totally recommend this costume for anyone that wishes they could be "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"!"

"Very cute - however sizing is totally inappropriate. This is listed on the package to fit a 5 - 7 size. However, it is so long that I really could fit me and I am 5 foot 8 inches. The sizing really needs some work. Maybe more size options, especially for the toddlers who are very different in height and weights. The quality is very flimsy. I would have thought that the costume that was over $30 would have more substance to it."
