"I ordered this dress along with the sequin shoes. I am a size 8/10 and the large made me look HUGE. It fits werid, the waist is WAY too high and it makes you look like you have a HUGE bottom! Also the inside where the petiocoat is sewn in is unbelievably ROUGH!! There's no way I could live with that, even with panty hose. I think it would have scratched up my stomach. Other than that the dress looks cute on the outside but the interior as well as fit is just awful!"

"This item was a disappointment. When I opened the package and tried on the costume, I realized that the costume is not like it is pictured on the website or on the package. Also the fit on this item is very strange. The waist sits a few inches above the belly button. No matter how much I tried to pull it own, it still pulled up and looked like I was wearing a childs dress. Since there is only teo options in sizing Regular or x-large I would be carefull with this purchase. My biggest disappointment was that it did not look like he picture on the packaging."

Spiderman and Dorothy
"I decided to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz this year. I got the dress, ruby slippers, and Toto/basket. I did have to remove the petticoat. It was incredibly scratchy and it was so much more comfortable afterwards. I also split the hair ribbon in half to make ties for my braids. I got many compliments and had lots of fun!"

"I bought this costume in conjunction with the scarecrow for my husband and the lion for my son thinking that we would all look so cute. I was very disappointed with this costume when I put it on. I made the mistake of not trying it on in advance and it was too late to do anything to fix it. The underskirt is so puffy it made me look about 15 pounds heavier than i actually am. It also does not stick out at the bottom as pictured. It was so scratchy that I actually had a rash around my waist within an hour of wearing it that was so intolerable I had to tie material around my waist underneath the costume. Also, it was slightly small for me. The arm bands are not elasticized and they were very tight around my arms, and I am not a large person by any means. The pictures turned out cute, but I only wore the costume for a couple of hours."

"The actual costume does not fit like that on the picture. Too much material is gathered around the elasticized waist, and the top is so puffy, that you almost look like "Dorothy the clown". I took apart the skirt from the top, did away with much of the excess material, and resewed it together. In the end, the red ruby shoes really made my costume come together."

"The costume looks better on the picture than it does in real life. The underskirt is inscredibly scratchy. The straps go to the top of the shoulders, but not beyond, so it lacks a nice finishing touch. I will not go through the hassle of returning it from Canada to the US, but I won't shop here again, I'll try to sell it."

"This is a relly cute costume. I ordered the standard adult sized costume and was sent the teen size costume (which was much too small and had to be returned). The return process is very easy (I'm still awaiting my refund). All that aside, I did purchase the adult standard size costume and it fits great. I usually wear a size small/medium top and size 6-8 bottom. The top of the costume fits a little big, but with a few adjustments, I think it will be perfect. The bottom fits perfectly. As read in previous reviews, it is a little difficult to get off as it is all in one piece and does not have any zippers (just an opening at the top that is tied shut behind the neck). Also, the bottom of the sleeves are a little tight around the arm, but I think it is made to be that way. As far as the length goes, I am 5' 0" and the dress goes right to my knee. You cannot see the petticoat as shown in the picture, but not a huge deal. I think it looks more authentic that way. All around, the costume is well made and absolutely adorable. I can't wait to wear it for Halloween!"

"I was looking for a Dorothy costume that was cute but not as sexy and short as some of the others. This dress seems to fit the bill, although it's not quite like the one in the picture. The petticoat cannot be seen under the dress, so I'm actually hemming the dress portion about 1.5" so the petticoat can be seen. Also, there is no back panel to the dress. The straps end at the shoulder seams. I'm 5'4" and the dress comes up right above my knees, which was about the length I was looking for. Also, I find the blouse portion a little big (made for a 37" chest and I'm a 34") so I'm taking it in a bit. But, with a few adjustments, Toto, and some ruby red slippers you can make this costumes really cute!"

"The dress I thought I was getting was not the one shown on the model. The dress the model is wearing shows a back panel but the dress I received did not have a back panel. I liked the crinoline, however, it did not peek out beneath the hem, as shown on the model. Also, the dress is a bit short, above the knees (for a 5'4" person). A longer hem to mid-calf would have been better, more authentic. Anyway, had to return it and order a different style costume. Got the costume price back but not the shipping and handling."

"This costume is comfortable and sized well. I recomend wearing a slip as the crendolyn is scratchy. What is the deal with the bow? I think it would bet better to have it on a hair barrett rathen than the ribbon. The ribbon is not long enough to tie the bow on your head (I have a small head too as I am a small person). The white ribbon is an eyesore, basically unusable as it is and takes away from the costume. I wove it into the basket and chose not to wear it in my hair. Got a great reaction with this costume; make sure to get the shoes and wig to go with."

"I purchased this item. In the description they should state how tall the women is in the costume. That skirt doesn't come above my knees. It was a bit big as well. The bow tie was missing as well.
It's a cute Idea. However it really is height dependent on whether you will have the skirt just above the knees. The girl in that photo is no less than 5'9", I predict."

"This fits very good . Very true to size and the elastic waist would fit most people. It's appropriate for even a children's halloween party because it's not provative at all. I actually got it hemmed two inches to show the lace skirt underneath more. Very cute costume!"
